I spent some time in Oman. Specifically Muscat, and if they get a lot of rain, they are fucked. HARD. There is little to no drainage due to the complete lack of rain. when they get 6 inches it floods. From what I understand, the whole place is heading to the hills. Shutting everything down and bailing. Really beautiful place, as well.
