OCmike's Humpday Challenge

Post by OCmike »

OCmike's Humpday Challenge

There is only one rule: No more than one correctly answered question per person, per hour.

1. The most common fortification found on The Atlantic Wall was known as a Tobruk. What was a Tobruk?

2. What pitcher has the most world series victories?

3. Who averaged more than 40 saves per season from 1988-1992?

4. What two pitching brothers have the most wins?

5. Six AL pitchers have won the Cy Young and the MVP in the same year. Who was the last to do it?

6. What baseball player has had his number retired on three different teams?

7. What was the top floor of #1 WTC used for?

8. This Treaty officially ended the war between England and France. It was signed in 1763, and France lost most of their land.

9. Who was the starting middle linebacker for the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl I?

10. Who won the 1988 NFL MVP award?

11. Who won the regular season rushing title eight times in his NFL career?

12. What was the first team to appear in three consecutive Super Bowls?

13. What team won the first-ever NFL Championship game?

14. What year did the Tampa Bay Buccaneers enter the NFL?

15. Which former NFL player starred in the TV Show "Webster"?

As a member of the AFC West, btw. They switched with Seattle the following year. A good piece of trivia to nail peeps with at Super Bowl parties and whatnot. 8)

They switched conferences with Seattle the following year. But whereas Seattle went from the NFC West to the AFC West, Tampa Bay went from the AFC West to the NFC Central.

Nope. It's a fortification, not a form of natural defense.

THE 'RINGSTAND', ('TOBRUK')

Well, it would seem that a 'Tobruk', sort of like a bunker, was usually occupied by one man who operated a MG42 machinegun. There were variants on the Tobruk. There were Tobruks for flametrowers and coverd ones, with protected wall's, for the 50mm cannons.

And yeah, I googled the hell out of that answer.
