Rox complete sweep of Yankees
http://colorado.rockies.mlb.com/news/ga ... p&c_id=col
The Rockies win! Thaaaaa Rockies win!
Rockies are definitely the team to beat right now. I haven't seen them play this good in probably 7 or 8 years. And this was after a local hack wanted to get a petition signed and submitted to the Rockies to sell the team to Stan Kroenke!
I still think they should be sold to him, but all that aside, they're on a freakin roll right now.
War Rockies!

Like it or not the Rockies are the team to beat, over the last 4 weeks there is no other team that has a better record! Not saying it’s going to last, but the sweep over the Yankees makes 6 series wins in a row for the Rockies including a series win against Boston in Boston a team much better than the YankeesToddowen wrote:d-townmike wrote:

Puhleeese....get some oxygen.
Bask in the glory of a home sweep of the Yankees but don't insult the rest of the league. Your team did indeed sweep but not all that impressively.

The Cockies?
Buwahahahahahahahahaha.
Your pathetic fucking squad would get beat down by the Angels unmercifully. It wouldnt be fucking close.
Bow down to Figs, Full Metal Lackey (looks like a fucking grenade blew his teeth all over his mouth), Vlad the Imapler, and the rest of the eventual MLB World Champion Angels.

So they took 2 out of 3...Shoalzie wrote:The Rockies are bad ass...they came into Fenway and knocked about the Sawks as well.
I'll give them props for beating up Beckett, but not the Schill-lacking. He reduced himself to a BP pitcher after fucking up his arm going for a no-no in his previous start against Oakland. The Sux finally J.D. Drewed, errr, DL'ed him earlier in the week.

Precisely. Coors Field hasn't been that full since the All Star game in 1998. The best thing about a Yankees Fan at Coors Field is when their team loses, much less gets swept, and they have to take their over-egotistical piece of shit pompous asses onto the street to get hounded by Rockies fans and they can't do a damn thing about it! Bout time a "small market" team sets a hell hole like NYC in it's place.godzilla2002 wrote:YES THEY ARE!!!Toddowen wrote:the Yankees are leaving town.

Besides, there's a reason why there were more Jerkee fans in the stands than Rox fans; they have good tastes on where they choose to live their lives! They just have horrible tastes on baseball teams.

Correction, SIX regular season series. Just this past series was the most significant. Granted the Yankees are in the basement this season as compared to past seasons, but it's still exciting for us to see our team do so well and fill up the stadium at the same time plus send those NYers back to their pathetic hell hole, or wherever they live because they seem to travel in packs, with their tails between their pussies.Dinsdale wrote:A Rockies fan declaring BODE over anything is freaking HILARIOUS.
Newsflash -- when winning one regular-season series is a big freaking deal to you... you just might fucking suck.

So how'd it go in the Piled High City when KC took 2 out of 3 a few weeks ago from your beloved Rockies?godzilla2002 wrote: Let us have are fun Todd, if the tables were turned and the Yankees swept the Rockies those arrogant asshole transplants from NY would be making our life here in the Mile High City miserable for a week or so.

indeed it did, but what didn't suck for the Rockies before May 22, which also happened to include the Royals series?War Wagon wrote:So how'd it go in the Piled High City when KC took 2 out of 3 a few weeks ago from your beloved Rockies?godzilla2002 wrote: Let us have are fun Todd, if the tables were turned and the Yankees swept the Rockies those arrogant asshole transplants from NY would be making our life here in the Mile High City miserable for a week or so.

umm... they didn't get swept? A blizzard didn't postpone the game? Elway came out of retirement and announced he's going to pitch, but only in road games because he really hates the altitude?d-townmike wrote:what didn't suck for the Rockies before May 22, which also happened to include the Royals series?
Is this a trick question?
Rizzo's a troll, dude, and a bad one at that. You really shouldn't be expecting him to show up and come correct or anything, and I really shouldn't have had to explain that to you.btw, where is Frank Rizzo?

I can't speak for Yankees fans in Denver. But the day this Yankee fan ever celebrates a regular-season sweep over the Rockies is the same day I might as well put a bullet in my head. Or at least stop following baseball.godzilla2002 wrote:Let us have are fun Todd, if the tables were turned and the Yankees swept the Rockies those arrogant asshole transplants from NY would be making our life here in the Mile High City miserable for a week or so.
A regular-season sweep over the Rockies would be business as usual, nothing more, for this Yankee fan.

My bad, I saw you pimping the Red Sox in another thread and assumed . . . In any event, it tells you exactly how significant you are.ucantdoitdoggieSTyle2 wrote:My team? My team?Terry in Crapchester wrote:Get back to me when your team wins a World Series more often than once every 86 years.

Btw, my team has serious bode even over yours when you're talking World Championships. 26 to 9.

No. I am a baseball fan, you asshat, not a Sux fan. I never "pimp" the Sux. In fact, there's a reason why I always refer to them as "the Sux." I hate them. I don't root for them. Never have. Never will. Sure, I go to Fenway a lot, but I work 3 minutes down the road and don't live very far away either. I just like going to the games...
All of this doesn't speak to how significant I am, but rather, it tells us how motherfucking stupid you are. You seem to delight in dropping a Nic I used many, many years ago. For what purpose, I have no fucking idea... however, it proves you're VERY familiar with me. Check out the last 3 threads I started in this forum. Everyone else here seems to know I hate Theo, I hate their ownership, and I hate the franchise. Except for you. Why is that?
I could give two shits about how many WS the Yanks have won. My team is the defending WS Champs. Your team hasn't done shit since last century and they're certain to set a record for highest payroll ever by a non-playoff team. You're closer to having the worst record in baseball than you are making the playoffs. Your team is a laughingstock. Hold onto the past, you useless cunt... because that's all you have.
Btw -- add this to the list of things you're wrong about. The 314 has 10 WS titles.

So what? I hate the Yankee ownership too. Far more than any Yankee hater ever could. In fact, I've specifically mentioned, on numerous threads, that I lay the blame for the team's relative lack of success of late squarely at ownership's feet. Doesn't mean I'm not a fan of the team, though.ucantdoitdoggieSTyle2 wrote:I hate their ownership,

I was born in 73 so being 5 years old I can't say that Bucky Dent really did much for me. 86 sucked and it pained me to see it until 2004. Now that the monkey is off the back 86 doesn't hurt so much. No place in any of the Red Sox painful memories is there a collapse from 3-0 up in a series however. There is only one team that can claim that distinction. And their arch rivals put it on em. I will forever be rooting for teams to take 3-0 leads in series just to see that graphic.....

Are you really under the mistaken impression that the Yankees were NOT the 3rd team "in (North American) sports history" to lose a 3-0 lead in a best of 7?
Im talking strictly baseball here. I think the other 2 were in Hockey which doesn't count to most. Just MLB on this one though.....ucantdoitdoggieSTyle2 wrote:Neely8 wrote:Greatest collapses in sports history......
