Need Help!

Post by SunCoastSooner »

My daughter ruined an album of mine the other day. Shinedown - Rhapsody. I know they aren't that great of a band but I bought it for one song, the remake of Lynard Skynards "Simple Man".

I don't want to rebuy the album but I want that damn song back!!! Anyone know where I can download it without having to register for shit or anything like that?

Is that the one that came out a couple of years ago?

I almost brought that up in the Skynard thread, since that's got to be one of the worst covers in the history of recorded music.

It's not just "bad" -- it's "offensively bad."

E-fucking-gads. The bandmembers and producers responsible for that debacle should be locked in a defective airplane, taken to very high altitude, and let gravity take its course.

Fuck, that was awful.

Holy fuck that was horrible!

At first I thought that it was setting up to be one of the 10 million or so rock ballad styled rip offs wherein it would build up tempo and unleash a fury of butt rock guitar cliches at the end. But about halfway through, I realized that it was even worse. Nope, a screaming Damn Yankees guitar solo would have been a freaking blessing compared to listening to that Sebastian Bach wannabe sing off key while his equally lame poser buds noodled around on their guitars. If somebody stole that CD from me I would hunt them down and give them Big O's 15 dollars out of sheer gratitude.

I liked it :(

Not as good as the original but I still enjoy it.

Then you need help, for sure.

You might start with a trip to the surgeon for a taste-implant.

Bummer that Poison isn't around any more, eh SCS? It's quite lamentable that Winger never covered Freebird.

Oh well -- maybe someday, Hanson can pay tribute to Saturday Night Special. William Hung might be a good fit for Curtis Lowe, too.
