Sean Sherk is one tough mother. Though it lacked a lot of excitement, his fight versus Franca showed how strong and relentless he is. It was almost as if Sherk spent five rounds dunking Hermes underwater and there were very few times when Franca could catch his breath. KenFlo is a great fighter but I think he gives up too much strength to Sherk. I doubt a rematch would be much different from their first fight. It seems that there's no one currently in the lightweight division that could even challenge SS right now, but I could be wrong.

Tito's time has passed him up. IMO he is no longer an elite fighter in his weight class. Grant it, Rashad Evans has come up the ranks rather quickly but it was obvious to me Evans was tentative from the beginning of the fight. An elite fighter would have taken advantage of that and finished Rashad early. Instead, Tito did very little and by the end of the last round you could tell Rashad's confidence was finally coming around. I think Evans would win a rematch.

Anderson Silva is a freak, nuff said. Dude is one of the most entertaining fighters in MMA. So many weapons at so many positions on the mat. When Marquardt took him to the ground, it's as if Silva wasn't even concerned. Obviously, that's the way you have to beat him-- get him on the ground and pound him. I look forward to the rematch with Rich Franklin, but I think Silva's gonna have that belt for a long time.

I just don't see how Franklin can beat Silva. Rich is better than everyone else the UFC has at 185 but Anderson is better than him standing up and on the ground. Rich made his living beating guys on his feet. Unfortunately for him, Anderson Silva is probably the best striker on the planet.

I thought Marquardt would give Silva problems because of his style. Ground control guy who will lay on you and pound out a boring decision. Well, we all saw how well that worked.
