Well, duh -- at those kinds of prices, your server is going to be very busy. Should have tipped her big on the way in.

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at http://www.dev03.alabama.gov.

* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
http://www.example.com

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I have Acrobat Reader and even tried a "Save Target As..." and was told to "talk to the hand". I hate that when my computer does that...

What's that? Does Adobe mail you a pencil and a scratchpad, along with an instruction pamphlet on how to use the 23 letters of the English Alphabet?

What version of Acrobat ISN'T "middle America"?

There are precious few things internet that suck harder than Adobe Acrobat.

Don't beat yourself up, Sam. There is no 'temporary access' on the net.... he knows better than that. He wanted you to see it for a reason. He trusted your judgement; whatever you two saw in it freaked the shit out of both of you, so he gave it to you, and you diseminated it further.

I still haven't seen it, and since I don't drink, it probably wouldn't have mattered to me since (again) I don't drink, and looking at the prices in the liquor aisle of the grocery store (water is next to wine; works for me), that shit is already priced to the moon.

If even higher prices keep more people from drinking, then even better.
on a short leash, apparently.

What I mean, Mikey, is that once you're given access, you can do whatever you want with the contents you find upon opening the door, so to speak... as long as you have the tools. Thieves can have temporary access to Citibank or Capital One or America Online or whoever's customer database. All they need is that temporary access to get what they want.

So homie gave Sam temporary access to the site. Was homie looking for a technical opinion on site layout? or a personal opinion on the contents of the site? Why give Sam that access? Homie gave Sam the key. Just as someone gave Homie the keys. Sam can't beat himself up, particularly if Homie only stated after the fact that it was supposed to be between him and Sam alone. But who knows.

Mikey, are you mad at me?

Me?

I don't get mad too easily. I'm mostly here for the funnay. I'm glad to see you back, because you've sparked some traffic and some occasional funny stuff. That's not to say that I read all or even part way through most of your posts...

I do have a habit of correcting obvious inaccuracies in my own anal retentive way. I know for a fact, for example, that there are ways of creating restricted and/or temporary access to a website (sin, MA).

Fair question - who indeed? Now shut the hell up, already.

I'm assuming that what you're trying to say, Sam, is that if in Bama for your drinking needs...New Orleans isn't that far of a roadie.

Yes?
