I noticed that it went up again and has been peaking. My wife and I think that perhaps it would be a good investment to buy one share (it's currently at around $550 per) and hold long term. What do you guys think? Is it a wise investment? Thanks in advance.

Can you actually buy only one share of a stock? I always thought there was a minimum, like maybe 10?

If you think it's "peaking" why would you want to buy it now?

BTW, my Fidelity energy sector and natural gas funds are both up almost 30% YTD. Better to cash in on enterprises that are actually making consistent profits.

When I said 'peaking', I meant not that it's hit as high as it's going to go, but rather that it's currently at an all time high and is up $100 per share from mid-May. I'd like to know if it's worth investing in (aka will continue to go up further) or is as high as it's going.

And yes, GT, if you purchase through TDA, you can buy whatever quantity you'd like, plus the commission on all transaction ($10).

Mikey, as stated in another thread, our Nvidia is currently up almost 33% over where we bought it in October and November (two purchases). We're quite pleased. Can't beat performance, eh?
