Played this table game last week in tunica.
Racked up pretty good. Bought in for $100, left with $600.
I only put $5 on the bonus twice. Only had one bonus hand and didnt get paid on it.
Anyone else played this game in the casino?
*Disclaimer* I am not refering to the Texas Hold'Em that Doyle and Chan are known for.

Well I usually play alot of caribbean stud poker, if I am not in the poker room.Adelpiero wrote: its a streaky game. i like it, many hate it.
I played caribbean stud for a while at the grand-tunica and left after two hands, when they changed dealers on me. Left up $100
Headed over to the Horseshoe to play some more caribbean stud poker but nobody else was playing at the table and the dealer was just killing me. The table next to me was the Texas Hold'Em bonus game, so I decided to play it.
I liked it. You just have to play with the streaks and when the streaks start going againt you, lower your bet or leave the table.

Very fucking streaky game yes...but when you get on the run boy is it sweet...
vegas in Feb...first hand played the bonus got dealt AA...was hoping dealer had AA as well for the 1000 to 1 pay off...but he didn't and still won the hand...
i usually play the bonus but am leaning toward not playing it although most casinos now let you play between 1 and 25 on the bonus so I might just start playing like 2 bucks or something and maybe upping my ante bet...I know AL plays that way he usually goes what 10 - 20 on the ante and then 20 - 40 on the flop...right AL???
played this game in vegas when I was out there for work in early June and took horrific beatings after raking in $450 on a 1/2 no limit table at the Hilton...lost about 2-300 over the next coupla days on this game...streaky but again when the cards are going with you holy cow...of course it didn't help that in many instances I would flop top pair, flop two pair or strong draw and would usually get counterfeited by dealer with higher two pair or would make two pair on the river to beat my top pair...
do you guys bet every street if you hit the flop?

In Tunica $5 was the minimum you could put on the bonus. I tried putting $1, the crazy turk said no. So I said fuck the bonus. The guy next to me though started playing the bonus and got dealt AA, AK suited, JJ, AK unsuited, AA, in a row. They change the dealer after all that.
If I hit the flop with low pair or worse, I check it out.
If I hit the flop with middle pair, bet the turn and might check the river
If I hit the flop with top pair or better, I bet turn and river
Its a streaky game but if you start getting dealt cards just raise your bet and ride the wave, just like in hold'em. If you quit getting dealt cards, lower you bet or switch tables.
