The Trojan log jam at TB appears to have gotten 1 RB lighter as Sophmore Emanuel Moody did not show up for morning or afternoon practice on Wednesday and missed the team meeting as well. Reports are that Moody will be transfering to Oklahoma State. USC looked to have 10 guys competing for the tailback position coming in to this season but injuries to Marc Tyler and Emannuel Moody had both of them watching more than playing.
Moody did avg 5.8 yrds per carry last season and started 4 games as Tb before injuring his ankle and missed most of spring ball with a sore hamstring, he was well liked by USC fans though many thought he should juke less and run more. He will be missed and he was my younger sons favorite player. Fight On Moody and best of luck wherever you wind up..... as long as it isnt ND or UCLA

With Moody leaving this fall as well as Reed, Washington and Dennis leaving at the end of this year, that opens the door for Darrell Scott to adorn the Cardinal and Gold that he has cheered for his whole life, come on Darrell go ahead and make that silent verbal to Carroll and Company known

Old news....
and if D. Scott isn't wearing blue... he most likely won't play in the PAC 10.
Vereen interview
Glad to see that Cal once again proves that it recruits quality character players. He is very well spoken for a freshman and non of that bullshit.... rah rah arrogance like the USC players during last years Army AA bowl. So glad to have JT at the helm.
Considering Vereen was about as highly regarded and recruited as Best(the fastest high school football player in the country and now a Cal Bear)...and that Best has received a lot of attention, especially for a Freshman...Vereen, also a potential breakaway talent...is handling his CAL experience especially well...very glad SV is a CAL Bear.

It's too bad Scott's attitude doesn't match his playing ability. I know his old HS coach and he along with his entire program feel betrayed by DS. His reasons for leaving are bullshit and he's a head case of epic proportions. The people and staff at Moorpark HS did nothing but treat him with respect and just like any other member of their community.
I also know Shane Vereen's coaches and he is the epitomy of a class act. I do HS football in the community and we did a post game show at a local eatery every week. When Shane's mother found out that we were dying to have him on she said, "All you had to do was ask." Well one night after one of his games about 11:00 ONE kid from the team wanders in and it's Shane. He stayed on the air with us for about 30 minutes. Very well spoken, very articulate, nothing but class. Shane is a kid that ANY program should be proud to have. He'll give you 100% on the field as well as in the classroom and the program will be better for having him. DS on the other hand......may be a talent but as a person, I'm not so sure. That's why he may end up at $UC. Another head case who's a below average person. He'll fit right in.

Old News? it wasnt mentioned in any papers until the 17th and Moody is on the cover of Sports Illustrated with Cj Gable and Chauncey Washington.
Rumors on Moody is that his uncle didnt like that Staffon Johnson was getting a lot of reps during practice and Moody who played a lot last year wasnt getting as many.

They've been reporting on a couple OU sites that he is looking at OU as well.
I personally don't want him. We are stacked at RB already, have two coming in that are top 10 in the country out of high school and we are the heads on favorite for Bryce Brown (Arthur Brown's little brother) out of Witchita East.
