This was a long term investigation when Rodney Harrison was injured a couple of seasons ago. Luckily Samuel signed this week.

Del Rio has done the worse job of managing his two QBs. He should have given Leftwich more time to develop this preseason, but he didn't. In saying that, I think naming Gerrard is the right move, but this really fucks Leftwich this year 'cus if he is traded or cut, he might be stuck holding a clipboard for half the season while learning his new offense. That kinda sux for him considering Del Rio didn't give Byron much of a chance to prove himself during camp.
So, where will he go? I think Tampa, Washington, Cleveland, KC, Chicago, and Atlanta should consider a 4th or 5th rounder for him.

Leftwich, destination - Oakland. Right after Culpepper & Co. finally decide they cant run from the Faders substandard O-line play any longer and find a way onto the IR.
Strahan - Plays on an irrelevant team so the 'news' is inconsequential.
Harrison - should retire if he can't keep up any longer without cheating.
Go Patriots! ! ! !

I couldn't disagree more. Someone will want him as soon as possible so he can get reps in practice and learn the offense. If say....Atlanta picks him up in in week 5, Leftwich won't be effective until week 10. I'm sure J-Ville's phone is ringing right now. The sooner he jumps on with another team, the sooner he can be the starter.Shoalzie wrote:I don't see him having a team on Week 1...maybe after a few weeks someone will pick him up.
