I was at the game and everyone in our area was wondering what was up with that. Don't we have enough in common with Bama already?

Anyhow, over on some Sooner boards we're all complaining that our band has apparently decided to start doing this because someone ponied up $10k to get them to-but none of us know the name of the song that it's from or anything.

Little help?

Yeah, I know, bitching about the band is lame, but it's not like we don't have traditions of our own enough so that we don't need to be ripping off other schools.
The new GA is also a Floriduh grad so that helped a little besides the money as well.

i always associated it with Bama growing up. i figured it was an elephant sound-thing. not crazy about at Owen Field.

However, the waving hand/wheat thing (KU, OSU) was more disturbing on TV to me. WTF?

though it appeared OU dropped that stupid inflatable wagon* as a tunnel for the game entrance. if so, that's a big plus in my book.

* i will not desecrate the Sooner Schooner by referring to that atrocious inflatable thing as such.

I love Bama. Probably my second or third favorite CFB team. Just don't want to see Stoops rocking a houndstooth visor anytime soon.

I know what you're talking about and that's actually not the same as OSU / KSU. The band leads a chant of OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-U followed by three claps. It's pretty cool when the student section decides to get into it.
