So, how are you left coast fukks holding up? I hear you're having rolling blackouts as the power grid is strained beyond capacity. And here I thought California never had any extreme weather.

We're feeling pretty concerned and sympathetic around the rest of the country. Please let us know that you're doing ok and haven't broken a sweat yet.

106 here today. Verrah hot. The AC was running all day, but with no rolloloing blackmeouts.

The pool is now 91 degrees even without having any heat for two months, and hardly worth jumping into....well it does feel good to sit under the waterfall.

Went to the movies this afternoon. Balls of Fury is marginally funny, but I would recommend waiting until it comes out in DVD.

106 in Fallbrook, CA is at least 30 degrees better than anything in Misery, Kansass or any other flyover state, even with all the Mejicanos out and about looking for yard work.

No mosquitos. (you know em as "skeeters")

CENTRAL AC working fine. No holes in my walls, no window units.

At 9 pm, it was about 85, with a light cool breeze. It's like that here at night

My power never went out.

My pool never got too hot, but I had to clorine the sumbitch. Once.

Thank me for the roof top solar unit. Drops the pool water about 6 degrees after dark.

It was about 99 here in O'side today. (93 inside my grandfathers house!!)

I have A/C in my room right now, so I was chillin' at about 72 for most of the day.

No black-outs for us today, although I did see a black GUY walking his 2 "standard poodles" down our street.

Heat wave? It's supposed to be between 87 and 89 tomorrow for a high. It was hot most of last week and may bump into the mid-90's during this week, but that's about the norm here in late August / early Sept.

I remember one August it seemed like the entire month was at or above 100. Now THAT sucked. It was about 10 or 11 years ago. I remember seeing my energy bill double for that month.

The best time of year to live here is Spring and Fall. The Winters are usually pretty mild too.

We don't have rolling blackouts anymore. That was one year after they deregulated the utilities. SMUD (local energy provider) opted out of the Cal-ISO grid and they get their own power, so we don't have to deal with that anymore.

I would like to rack the hell out of the high pressure system or global warming or god or whatever the hell it is that has built a heat and humidity fence somewhere arounf PA. The entire month of august had a few warm days in the 90s, but, overall, it's been downright frigid up here in the U & R.

Whitey, do you really want to run weather smack at anybody, particularly the southwest? I've been in 106 4% humidity. It's really not bad. I would say it is a hell of alot nicer than anything you get from about mid april through late september. I lived 3 years in Nashville. I actually liked it for the most part except for the absolutely horrific summers and the damn near as horrible cold wet winter. The 6 nice days in october and 3 nice days in march didn't quite make up for it.

I guess we just picked the wrong day to visit Boston. It was 97 when we were out there trying to walk the "Freedon Trail", and f'ing miserable. We did make it all the way to Bunker Hill (we skipped standing in line to climb around on the Constitution) but decided to take a cab back across the bridge.

Going to be a blistering 75 today. Mid/upper 80's the rest of the week. There was even a few raindrops last night, a rarity for this time of year, but some even leaked over the mountains and helped slow down some fires (not such a rarity this time of year).
