Holy shit!!!!
This is the worst stretch of UM football in my not very short life. The heart of the program died with Bo. I love Michigan football. I'm drunk. I'm here to absorb my lumps. I will never not show up after a loss.

Any Oregonian I may be forgetting....congrats. You've got a strong squad. Way to stick it hard in the maize-n-blue shitter. The better team won. Here's hoping the momentum carries through the season for you guys!!
As for my guys....who the fuck knows. Where is this coming from? I think it's a culmination of the pending mediocrity of the past 5-7 years. We will learn from this. Will will adapt and overcome. I've been on these boards long enough to see most if not all of our teams go through this type of turmoil. The future is now, the next hire will determine the success and/or failure for the next generation of Wolverines.
I was drunk by mid-3rd quarter so I don't know the extent of Hennne's injury. I almost hope Mallett gets some pt over the next handfull of games. As for the d......get English the fuck out of town. How can a premier program not get 4-5 star recruits at skill positions? And if these guys are.....the coaches blow monkey cocks.
I'm out for now.
Go Blue!

Sorry about that Steve. I'm not even sure how to respond to this win. It kind of feels like going over to your more rich and successful friend's house and having his smoking hot trophy wife blow you in the bathroom. like you just got something great and you aren't sure what you did to deserve it.
Michigan is not good. But I was happy to see our guys having a good time. Dennis Dixon's taken a lot of heat and last year looked like he didn't enjoy football at all. Today he had one of the best games an Oregon QB has ever had. I'm extremely happy for him.
This looked like an unwinnable game two weeks ago and it was a laugher. Crazy shit. I actually felt bad for the Michigan fans they were showing in the stands. They just looked sad and confused. I feel really bad for Hart. That kid's got a lot of pride. Too much, probably and Carr shouldn't have had him out there when the game was already out of reach and he was gimping.
It looked to me like half your team quit on Carr about halfway through the 2nd quarter. I never expected it to be this easy and I don't think our players did either.

Just checking in.
Oregon fans were classy and fun all weekend.
They owned ANn Arbor last night.
I don't know what to do from here...its really hard to understand what's going on right now.
I just keep hoping that the ship will get righted. Maybe a win against Notre Dame, maybe Mallett can get us going...maybe Hart will FORCE this team to show up. Maybe Ron English will learn to coach.
I have my doubts.

Those who stay will be champions.

I don't see Miles leaving LSU, I like their chances of making the BCS-championship. But if Mich could get him AND his staff that would be an incredible coup. With Bo and Crowton coordinating I don't know if anyone has a better set of assistants. Though I think LSU would probably make Bo the HC and then try to hold onto Crowton as OC.
The ND-game is a must-win if Lloyd is to have a shot of staying employed and Mich is to avoid hanging-it-up for the year. It is a tough call. ND is playing harder and will improve over the season but Mich has some nice weapons still on O and even with this downturn playing in Ann Arbor means something.

You gonna bark all day little doggie or are you gonna bite?
It's the way it has always been but I'm surprised the crowd didn't collective say "what the fuck?" after the third or fourth TD. ABC showed all of the dumb-founded looks on the faces of people at the game...I don't think anyone expected it to get this bad.quacker backer wrote:but man oh man how can 112,000 people be so quiet?
Bottom line, the talent on defense is a far cry from last season and it probably made English look like a better coach than he really was. When you have 3 or 4 first and second round picks leave, you're going to have a large drop-off. This program should have the depth to replace guys at every spot. They were mediocre in the secondary last year and Leon Hall to me doesn't go down in history as one of the greats but he was the best of that group. Hopefully Donovan Warren can become great in time but for a freshman DB, it's a lot of ask for him to step up now. Morgan Trent shouldn't be the #1 corner for a high profile program but he is by default. Taylor in the middle of the line is being exposed as not being a dominant force now that Branch and Woodley are gone.
Offensively, the line has been hideous...in protecting Henne and in giving Hart room to run. Hart has been getting most of his yards on his own ability. With Henne not having as much time to throw, his passing ability and decision-making skills are being exposed. He's throw two horrible interceptions that a senior QB should know better not to throw. I've spoken highly of the play of Mike Hart so far and rightfully so...he's been the best player on the team in their first two games by a large margin and the guy battling through a thigh injury and the fact his line has been terrible in front of him.
The kicking game...well, it wasn't exposed as much this week as it was last week against Appalachian State with the two blocked kicks. Rivas was shaky at times but the guy did make big kicks when called upon. In the return game, you lose Breaston, the best return man this team has had since Woodson or Howard...they don't have a guy that can take a kick back all the way or make a big play and give the team a short field to work with.
Across the board, this is total team failure...players and coaches alike. There aren't many teams I can see them beating this year if this keeps up. If the wave of misfortune continues into next week with the Irish, going 0-3 and facing Penn State following week...they could be looking an unspeakable 0-4 start. This game with the Irish is crucial to them just to stop the bleeding. It's not going to turn the season around but at least slow down the negative momentum this team has built up so far.

it's one thing to have that usc diddy or hail to the victors stuck in yr head after a game b/c their bands won't stfu, but i have mighty oregon stuck in mine b/c it's not like the oregon band can sit a score out just b/c we're watching a spring scrimmage. wow... i went to temple after the game just to sit with my head in my hands and pretend i had more important, spiritual matters to contemplate, like ryan mallet...
