Oakland slaps Denver
Slow Travis Henry.
Make Gay Cutler go back to pass.
Gay Cutler must go down, and go down hard.
Play solid special teams. :Flubber:
It was a welcome sight to see Oakland working 'underneath' w/good variety v. Detroit.
L. Jordan ran, caught, and ran some more ..... well.
The Raiders have a tight end -- newsflash!
Culpepper, unlike McCown, is not a noodle-arm.
He will go vertical a couple/few times, and punish Dungver.
Punish them well.
I like that punishment.

So, the Raiders straategy for the upcoming game is to put in a possibly washed-up QB who is up there wuth the "elite" in terms of sheer volume of turnovers he's responsible for in his career...
And you're going to use his arm to test Champ Bailey's skills downfield in the vertical game?
Uhm... good luck with that.

and I don't think Jordan is going to have near the success running against the Denver D that he enjoyed against the kittens

He wants to draft #1 again next year?James wrote:Why the fuck Kiff insists on hitching his wagon to this goddamn loser (who has a fractured finger on his throwing hand) is beyond me.
Yeah, I figured we'd see Culpepper this week too.
Hmmmmmm ...... ok.
If McCown gets the nod today, I tell ya what, he better take care of the ball.
If not, Raider Nation will lynch the guy if he wanders near the Black Hole next Sunday.

The best thing about having JaMarcus locked down for 6 years now is that Kiff will have no choice but to start him next year with the skill set Russell posseses. His hand will undeniably be forced by Mr. Davis as well if Josh continues to blow cock this year. RACK that.poptart wrote:He wants to draft #1 again next year?James wrote:Why the fuck Kiff insists on hitching his wagon to this goddamn loser (who has a fractured finger on his throwing hand) is beyond me.

Pep looks so much better running the offensive system than McAssClown does-to the point where its almost laughable. We absolutely need to go deep to Porter a few times in this game-especially given the history between him and Bailey, and McClown cannot do that with his noodle fucking arm.
FUCK!
McCown's a good short range passer, and he's got good wheels.
Seems as if he's running the offense well enough.
But yeah, he and the deep ball don't see eye to eye.
Aside from ONE deep ball to Curry, everything was short range, screen, or underneath last week.
Hey, after watching last yrs offense, it was a welcome change, but I could see Dungver just clogging the short middle of the field and FORCING McCown to throw deep.
I'd like Culpepper a lot more if that were to be the case.

Exactly Pop.
Denver's LB corps is the weakest its been in quite a few years, so we have that going for us.........I could see them attempting to clog the middle and have it blow up in thier face due to a missed assignment or 2. *fingers crossed*
We will need to go deep a few times to have any shot at a W.
Rob Ryan's overrated fatass needs to pull his head from his colon as well and NOT run the fucking 3-4 ('sup last week) AT ALL. I mean, am I the only one in Raidernation who sees this guy as a complete and utter dumbfuck? For the millionth fucking time: our team does not have the personell and is NOT built for the 3-4.

I agree. Cant remember the last time a Raider QB went 30 for 40 with over 300 yards........A quick guess says it probably happened the last time a number 12 was on our QB's jersey.poptart wrote: Hey, after watching last yrs offense, it was a welcome change

For fucks sakes, just put Pep in-he cant do any worse than the 0 FUCKING POINTS and 2 int's McClown has put on the board.
FUCK.
Oh, and UNRACK mother nature for taking away the third pick in the FIRST FUCKING QUARTER that would've benched McClowns sorry pussy ass for good.

and we're only in the second fucking quarter.
This shit is unwatchable-we're GIVING the game away.
Surely.....I'll pray that Raidernation tears this cunt apart limb from limb. Fucking talentless douche.Pray for McQadrivion.

And Porter can choke on his own vagflaps too-Nice of him to do his best Candy Moss impersonation by half assing a route, not trying to chase down the DB who intercepted the ball, and not even attempting to swat away the other interception.
If we re-sign this cunt next year, I just might turn in my colors. Fuck his lazy ass and everything he fucking stands for.

Stuart Schwag=Boy among Men. RACK Gannon for blasting his ass in the booth when he tried to tackle Henry too high and got pwnt.
BTW-Gannon is a fucking awesome commentator, as is Tom Flores and Plunkett. Fuck everybody else, I want these 3 guys in the booth together announcing the Silver and Black games until they all pass away.

I almost felt sorry for the 'duhs when that 2nd FG try doinked off the very top of the post. That's some leg Seabass has...
Props to the Raiders for a gutsy effort. I know duhfan isn't happy about moral victories, but you have to take some heart in knowing that your franchise is somewhat back on the right track and competitive again.

I agree on McCown.
Rich Gannon washed his balls pretty good, but the passing game just isn't getting enough done.
psssst, .... Kiff, .... CUL PEPP ER.
Hey Jack, Jano is 1-5 this year, so no love here for the guy.
I'm not doom and gloom.
Oakland looks like a real team for a change.
Kiffin says there was no whistle prior to the snap on Jano's FG.
I'm sure the league office will give full ASSurance that their men on the field had it properly handled .... errr ... yeppp

You must have been in a loud bar or something Pop I could hear it plain as day on the TV I was watching, the first words out my mouth when the ball went through was “It doesn’t count the whistle had blown before the snap”poptart wrote:Kiffin says there was no whistle prior to the snap on Jano's FG.

Guess the only part of that I got right was the 20-5godzilla2002 wrote:What is Denver 19-5 over the Raiders the last 12 years?
Make it 20-5 after Sunday!
Denver 34
Oakland 13
Props to the Raiders for not quitting after falling behind 17-3
Well great, you heard a whistle.
They need to use a blowhorn then, because the players sure didn't hear it.
I've watched that replay over and over and they PLAYED THE PLAY.
Kick good, game over.
Raider sideline in jubilation.
But sorry, the play that was just executed by all parties .... does not count. lol
Russia v USA basketball much??
Doesn't matter that the players played the play knowing it was THE play, because a guy standing on the sideline .... decided ... to call timeout.
And that is the other part of this that is so disturbing.
Coach tells referee, "hey, I'm going to call timeout, so be alert for that."
You have GOT to be kidding me.
Hey, either call timeout or don't call timeout.
Who gives a damn if he says he might be calling a timeout?
ABSOLUTELY ridiculous.
Imagine if coach tells referee that he is going to call timeout ...... and then doesn't.
What then?
Referee doesn't call timeout, ..... and then deceitful coach bitches and cries, claiming he DID call timeout but the referee didn't hear or recognize him.
I'm sure the league has some 'reason' why, like other sports, it's not required for the players to make a timeout call, but yesterday's baloney is evidence enough that it's a flawed policy.
Watch me, Mr Referee because I .... might .... be calling a timeout here in a few seconds.
LMAO x forever
Hey, why do these things, year in and year out, happen to the Raiders??
Truly an amazing phenomenon.
Last year we had the utterly ridiculous 'illegal forward pass' fantasy ruling in the SD game.
At least we've gotten our yearly hosing out of the way early this year.
Until such time as Oakland is able to field a dominant team that can't be done over by these incidents they will continue to happen.
Make the .... 2nd kick ...., Pollock.
That's how the Raiders have to roll.
Sincerely,
1972 U.S. Olympic Basketball Team

I hear ya, but this is not the same, it didn’t matter what two teams were on the field in this situation, once the whistle is blown the play is dead whether it be an inadvertent whistle or a perfectly timed timeoutpoptart wrote:Hey, why do these things, year in and year out, happen to the Raiders??

The players ... you know, the guys PLAYING THE GAME, executed the play in good faith.
If the play was 'blown dead' .... why did everyone go balls-out on the play?
Sure, once in while in sports we see a play blown dead, and couple/few guys fail to hear the whistle, and continue playing on.
But not 22 guys. lol
If a whistle was blown, then it was insufficient.
They need to use a blowhorn.
You can't have guys making plays in good faith, only to tell them after the fact that it didn't count.
Good faith?

This is gripping after a loss, man.
Let it go.
Sucks that Seabass couldn't convert two in a row, but the Rat got over with the TO. Call it bush, if you will, but calling it a couple seconds earlier wouldn't bring a peep from your end.
Sucks to be Oakland fan after that game, for certain, but it was a strategic move that worked beautifully.
