Better get ready to spring for a trip to London. It's just a one shot deal. I'll watch the video.

It's rumored to be here...

No way would I see 'em now that Plant can no longer sing. I have fond memories of seeing LZ in '77 at the Forum in LA; wouldn't wanna tarnish them by seeing them as a shell of what they used to be.

Yeah, Smackie... I agree. Never saw 'em live, but I'd rather just live with the memory of what they used to be.

This reunion has been rumored for several months now. I recently saw the latest iteration of The Yardbirds in concert, and was BS'ing with a couple geezers after the show. They mentioned that Jeff Beck was considering rejoining them, and that Page had also expressed interest in touring with 'em, but only if asked. When I mentioned the rumored LZ reunion (including JPJ and w/ Jason Bonham on the skins), they said it wasn't gonna happen. They seemed pretty sure of themselves, but if the plan is to reunite for a single show or series of shows at one venue, I would hardly consider it getting the band back together a la Genesis or The Police. I'd be more surprised if either Beck or Page toured with the 'birds.

Saw Beck last year at the Greek Theater in LA. That dude can still play as well as he ever did. The stuff from Blow by Blow and Wired was 100% fresh, and even the earlier stuff with the chick singer taking Rod Stewart's place was great. I was blown away.

Telephone bills up my sleeves
Choking like a one man dustbowl
Freedom rock slime ball
Talking in code
We went down
Lit up the shack
Grab me a beer out of the sack
Everybody bent over twice
Painting the walls throwing some dice
Leaping up into the air getting juiced up beyond belief
And they were singing like this
help me scrape the mucus off my brain

I am envious of anyone who saw them back when that shit was fresh and amazingly new. Are any of you guys old enough to have seen em in 69 or 70 though? How they came up with such heavy riffs way back then is just beyond me. The chorus of "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" blows away 99% of good, heavy breakdowns written to this day.

They certainly don't need the money, so they only way the one show would turn into a tour is if they enjoy the hell out of it.

22,000 tickets, 30 million people in line.

Absolutely. Let's not leave out.

You Shook Me
How Many More Times
I Can't Quit You Baby
Dazed and Confused

Simply an unbelievably awesome debut album. Think I'll have to break out the CD and give it a 11,347th listen.

If for some reason I were forced to get rid of every CD I own but one, Led Zep I would be the one I kept.

This just makes me sad. When the fuck is Roger Waters and David Gilmour going put their egos aside so we can see THE reunion of all reunions?

Props to LZ for making this happen for a good cause.

Mildly retarded again?

Or did you just mis the Live 8 reunion of Pink Floyd? If you did, you didn't miss much.

I wouldn't mind seeing the floyd, but, they are a very distant second to LZ.

Damn. I've been off the Floyd news for quite some time. I had no idea that Waters had indeed reconciled with Gilmour. Rack that. Wish they would take the $200 million and do the US tour thing. Guess its not gonna happen.

Its funny when this comes up. PF is my favorite band and when this becomes the topic of conversation with a LZ follower, then I am wrong for having a different taste in music. I've had LZ junkies flat out tell me that PF should not be my favorite band but that is should be LZ and no one else. The arrogance among the LZ fans is beyond me. I don't get it.

That's because you're mildly retarded and probably still doing drugs.

You sure that Prince isn't your favorite?

Ok, I'll be nice. I like Pink Floyd and they're not a "distant" 2nd in my book. But they're still second, just a bit ahead of The Who.

Pink Floyd was great when you were stoned or on an acid trip. I don't do illegal drugs anymore.

Led Zep is great drunk or sober. The greatest ever.

Don't even get me started on The Beatles.

Good luck in that lottery, dude.
