Effective immediately, the Cards have given up on pitching prospect Rick Ankiel, but not outfield prospect Rick Ankiel.
Out of options, Rick's gotta make the club or get thrown onto waivers.

I had heard that he actually could have made it as an outfielder because of his bat. It would be cool to see this dude come back in that capacity. It would make for a pretty good story.Adelpiero wrote:he actually was a very good hitter at one time.
