You're right though about Notre Dame...no way they get in if they lose tonight. West Virginia probably will take their spot and they will definitely sew up a spot in the Dance with a win over Boston College tomorrow. Georgetown is still in the running as well.
No way do they get in now. They were #75 in the RPI entering this week and they lose to the last place team in the conference...a team with only 2 conference wins all season. They beat them just a week ago...what the heck happened?
Brey won't be run out of town. Losing Quinn in the first half hurt because Thomas couldn't get a break, which you could see as the game wore on. Thomas had no legs under his jumper and tried to do to much. The kid is a talent, but ND may be better next year with a PG who is pass first, score second.
I don't think they'll make it now, but it still wouldn't suprise me.
Yeah. #80 RPI's always make it in. 'Specially after losing to #190.
And injuries? Wow! I never expected that sort of excuse from an ND fan.
And the other Catholic School is sucking major ass right now too. WVU is sticking it up BC's ass.
I said 2 weeks ago, when BC lost to a hapless ND, that this overhyped team should start dropping like a rock.
Somehow, they've been kept in the top 7 !! My God.
Everyone is now seeing that the Big-Least has really only one good team. Syracuse. But, now with BC sucking ass, and ND folded weeks ago; now they're trying to push UConn, after them being very average all season.
Ya know, I can undestand why espn always pimps the Big-Least, (East Coast Bias) but damn, people. Anyone who actually WATCHES what happens on the floors in that Conference, can see that Syr. is basically it!
BCU is gett smacked like a little eveil stepchild!!!

Yeah, losing one of your starting guards who averages over 12 points a game, is an excellent shooter, and a better passer than Thomas didn't hurt at all. Especially the way they were running the offense in the second half.
All that having been said, I make no excuses for the poor play last night. If Thomas was a big time player, he would have stepped up.
Looking forward to watching MSU match up with any team with an inside game. Maybe they can pull a repeat of the time they were a 3 seed in Respert's senior year. That turned out well.
Scroll down, and check that rpi of 91.
[sorry. edit] Now #93 !!!!!!!
And for other posters: The loss to Rutgers allows openings for others. The analysts on espn all refer to NC State, IU and some others being in now, if they win one, because of ND looking so lousy the last 2 weeks.
That's why I feel that IU gets in now, if they beat Minn.
Should be a HUGE play-off atmoshere tonight.
Go Hoosiers! Play your way IN, not out, like ND!!!
