A young QB behind a bad offensive line...nothing good comes from that. Claussen ends up on his ass on pretty much every passing play because it's pretty much a jailbreak to the passer. Teams can play a base defense and blitz a couple extra guys and force Claussen into a throwaway or a turnover. The ground game doesn't take any pressure off him either and that's another product of a bad offensive line. Defensively, they have okay talent but they don't do anything exotic and don't present a threat to opposing offensive coordinators.

Are they the worst team in Division IA? I think that's a little strong...they should be able to beat the worst teams in the non-BCS conferences and the other independents.

Stanford might save NDs season. A win over the cards will propel them to 1-11 and possibly a Orange Bowl bid.

Purdue has folded up tent for the day and that may allow ND to get within one offensive TD.

Clausen=Sabelhaus

Sharpley was DEFINTELY the better QB on the field.

No wonder dude transferred.....Clausen was "handed" the job.

Weis looks like he may get off the Clausen bus and go with the back-up, who CLEARLY looked better.

You could really see the frustration beginning to build up with Claussen today. I think he's getting tired of getting planted into the turf on every pass attempt. Purdue toyed with them today...they should've beaten them handedly but gave the Irish an outside chance at stealing this one from them.

That is why he transfered. He said that when he transfered. I am surpised the guy didnt see it coming. ND has been hyping him up to be the next Ron Prowlus since 2006

ND has their best chance next week. UCLA's offense blows donkey spunk. Put points on the board and you leave the Rose Bowl with a W.

Tell you what, you tell me how Sharpley "was DEFINTELY the better QB on the field".

They both played well, both threw stupid interceptions.

Obviously it was clear cut that Sharpley should be the starter, so tell me why he should start. After all, he "CLEARLY looked better".

I thought the guy came in and played well. His throws were BETTER than Clausen's. I thought he had more zip on the ball.

Are you really arguing this with me?

I feel sorry for you.....

Don't feel sorry for me, please.

Yes, Sharpley came in and played well. He has more zip on the ball, but he is not nearly as accurate as Clausen.

The reason why Sharpley was sitting the bench is because he has had zero pocket awareness this year. He showed some this game, but he still struggles with that aspect of the game.

You still can't say or prove that one QB was "CLEARLY" or "DEFINTELY" better than the other.

I like how all the media types are looking for positives in ND ass rapings.

"They scored 19 points."

So 19 garbage points when your opponent clearly doesnt care anymore is a positive.

Maybe Weis has ate him self retarded and he thinks that he is going to get the first pick in the draft this way.

I still say their best chance for a W to date is this week.
