So does where Santana rank?

And illegal aliens, on the religion scale, here?

After all, we're all brothers, right?

Ooops, unless we're all legal.

Ridiculous.
Bill Graham wrote:Good evening. Thank you for being with us. Welcome to a very, very special occasion. Some years ago, some of us heard and felt a very special sound. About the joy of loving, the joy of giving. And thank God it's with us this evening. Will you welcome, from my heart, Santana.
Santana wrote:We can make it work
We can make it work
We can make it work
We can make it work

We heal the people with music
We free the people with music
We heal the people with music
We free the people with music

With music With music
With music With music

We can make it work
We can make it work
And then, the next song, on "Milagro," this:

Somewhere in heaven
There is a place
Waiting for you and me

He made a promise
Gave every drop of blood
Died on the cross so we'd be free

Oh Oh Oh Oh

Somewhere
Somewhere in heaven
There's a place waiting
Waiting for you and me

He made a promise
Gave every drop a blood
And died right on the cross
So we'd be free

He made a promise
When he gave every drop
Of his blood
Died on the cross
So we'd be free

Touche.

According to some in this city -- chief among them the so-called "Christians," who have access to local radio on Sundays -- pretty much everyone who has an Hispanic surname is illegal. I'm doing my best to blast Santana out of my car windows these days.

It's safe to say that most native Tulsans have never even heard of San Antonio, much less even been there, even for an OU game.

RACK the fuck out of Santana. Part of the background music of my life since this album by a local band came out in my 15th year.

That's rich.

Well, a LOT, I suppose, for those who are into actual music. I had no idea you are.
mvscal wrote:Oh, if you're blasting Santana trying to introduce Tulsa to "roots" Hispanic music, I'll just have to laugh.
Try again. My post had nothing to with "introducing Tulsa" to anything. Mexicans -- and not just wetbacks -- introduced me to Santana, along with Al DiMeola, in San Antonio. Dudes who attended the UNAM.

Will do.

You're kidding, right?

"Saturday Night in San Francisco" is arguably the greatest guitar album, ever recorded.

A religious experience, for anybody that appreciates music.

Unless Stevie Vai can tap out a good cover on the fretboard, it holds no interest for me.

Yeah, my statement went well with God, I'm sure.

I stand corrected. TY
