Calling my shot right now

Post by Killian »

ND is going to beat UCLA. Seer, I know it's late but if you want to throw down a sig bet, I'm up for it.

I think a lot of young guys will be playing, and a lot of apathetic upper classmen will soon be passed by.

If they do not win, I will be in here bright and early on Monday to eat my crow.

I see your point, Killian, and deep down I still have a hunch that ND is going to get at least to 5 wins this season. But I honestly don't know how it'll happen. Of course, they're running out of chances to do that, and either UCLA or Fredo is a must-win at this point to get to 5 wins.

I did take ND in the Pick'Em, but that's strictly a Pick'Em bet. The spread is 20.5, and ND's offense has improved to the point where they should be able to score at least twice. Their defense is good enough that with 2 TD's, UCLA shouldn't be able to cover the spread.

I'm not yet to the point where I'm comfortable picking ND to win this game outright, but I do think they cover.

Uh, yeah, like if ND wins, it wouldn't be bad enough just returning here, so throw a sigbet on top of that....

N*F*W* (feathers)

I already told you this is your best chance for a win so far this season. You are playing against a team that hasn't had a coach in 5 years, lost to a nothing Utah team by 40...

That said, it is in the Rose Bowl, and Duhrell does have that pesky survival instinct....

No way ND wins this.

Also, Weis has done everything but fellate the entire squad with his complimenting his opponent...he even glossed Pasadena.....

Props to the Irish on winning with only 140 yards and almost half as many first downs as the Bruins...those turnovers are killers.

Does this mean UCLA is the worst team in Division 1?

Well, we beat Stanford at Stanford 45-17 (with their starting qb), and they beat SuC at SuC without their starting qb, so.......

BUMP, because, even with all of the crazy shit that has gone down in College football this year, this is looking more and more like the most improbable shot-call of the year.

[tootmyownhorn]I didn't do it on this board, so I can't "back it up" here, but a few weeks ago, I told my football buddies "AD will break the single-game rushing record his rookie season."[/tootingmyownhorn]

Of course, I was just taking an off-the-wall flyer, but it's looking pretty genius right about now... but save your breath -- I've already got my "real-life" props for calling that one.
