It's wrong to hope someone dies but I'm sure there are some HawkFans celebrating under their breath...maybe they can finally move forward now. The Blackhawks need to be relevant for the NHL to be as strong as they'd like to be. To have an Original 6 team in a top 3 media market be irrelevant is about as bad as it gets for the league. With the Cubs in the pennant race and the Bears being a premier team in the NFL...hockey is probably near the end of the sports food chain in Chicago.

and shoalz, no one wished wirtz dead. we just wish he gave two shits about his fucking fans to sell the team or give up ownership before he croaked. and of course, his son is taking over. here's hopes his son is a little more based in reality than his retarded father.
the lasting legacy of $ wirtz's cheapness is highlighted by this: the gift for season ticket holders this season was a chunk plexiglass used on the rink that was be replaced for this season. what a fucking asshole.
