Holy. Fucking. Shit.
What the fuck have I been telling you tards?
Did you think I was making this shit up?
An international panel spent a long time doing blind tastes, and determining the best beers in each category (Hey, poser-rankings... notice how it's "blind" -- that kinda gives credibility, rather than that odd annual coincedence with advertising dollars and whatsuch).
And holy freaking U&L dominance, Batman!
Nope, they're not the best in the country... they're the best in the world. THAT'S what happens when the finest bunch of Americans in the country decide they are going to dominate the world in grubbin brew... give a U&Ler 20 years, and they'll take over the world.
I can save you some effort in reading the list -- it says
Deschutes
Deschutes
Deschutes
Full Sail
Deschutes
Deschutes
And so on.
Props to Timmay's buddies in shocking the world(no shock to U&Lers). It's just a pity the panel didn't get to taste old-school Mirror Pond and the others, before that production increase/quality decrease thing went down.
Sierra Nevada snuck their barleywine in there, too.

I just wanted to point out that the competition amongst Midwest microbrewers is so intense that they beat each other up in numerous Midwest regional contests, and don’t really need to travel halfway around the world for validation.

Anytime I see "Worlds Best" followed by the word "Budweiser", It's usually on the label of a Budweiser.
You have to seriously question any group that comes up with a budweiser product as being best in the world.
Oh, since you're a fucking idoit Buschice, I'll help you out --
"budweiser" is a style of brewing. It started a few hundred years ago in a town called... are you ready?
Budweis.
Matter of fact, Budweiser Budvar was the first company to sell a beer named Budweiser in the USA.
And I think they're pretty ticked off that someone attached their name to American Corporate Piss.

Honestly? I never paid much attention to Euro brews or the history of them, and these days I'm into mostly Cali Micros, because that's what's available around here. There isn't a decent import beer place within driving distance, because most of the locals drink - you guessed it - budweiser, coors, miller, etc etc.orcinus wrote:Please tell me you're not really this stupid, Bushie.
There's only one true Budweiser.
I see Budweiser, I turn and run.
I made the Anheuser connection but didn't bother to google or wiki anything.
But I won't spend 20 posts and three threads like cliffy dinsdale would trying to spin out of it. I just fucked it up is all.
Call me what you will, but get in line. Cliffy Spinsneyland has got a half a dozen posts lined up already, I'm sure.

good shit.
Anheuser-Busch Bud is fucking awful. What kind of beer drinker would swill that urine made with rice? Genetically-modified rice, at that? Fucking awful.

I'm guessing you won't find too many bottles of this Bud in Casa de Whitey.

What's awesome about these awards is they never have anything to do with kickbacks.

Hence the beauty of doing it blind.
But agreed, the kickbacks are horrible. That joke of a contest/festival they have in Colorado is probably the worst example of corporate whoring.
Funny how when you take the labels off, the U&L shit moves to the head of the line, and Coors Freaking Light and Beast Ice are nowhere to be found... except Colorado.

There's two. You've got four more in you, spinsy. don't let us down.Dinsdale wrote:You come in here with a host of excuses, and try to deflect attention from your fuckup by making multiple references to (your fantasy-based) "spinning."Mister Bushice wrote:trying to spin out of it.
Fucking priceless.
"Spinning" as you have classically shown us all several times, is not the art of saying "I did this because", but the art of saying " NO, I'm not wrong you are, and here are the insane reasons why"
You never admitted to the fuck ups you've done, you just try and deflect blame on everyone else being wrong. I merely accepted it as a fuck up, and said why. Reasons why are not deflections, although I have to admit that you trying to spin MY post into something it isn't is a creative derivative of your usual self spinning bullshit.

How does not wanting to drink a can of 3.2% asspiss qualify you as some sort of snob? That does not compute.
