Wow. Just wow.

Now there's a blast from the past. It's probably been 20 years since I last heard any Box of Frogs.

Looks like I have a bit torrent quest on my hands.

totally $. but it's totally not accessible unless you're down with, oh my god, EMO type music. it's very beautiful and intimate. so unless you're into that kind of shit, you're not going to like it. but it only takes a few spins to understand what the pernice brothers are all about. i'd love to hear their other albums.

Actually, I've been making a recent point of thumbing through my old vinyl and then seeing if some of the stuff I bought back in the 80's (like Box of Frogs) is available on CD or for download. Picked up the BoF CD (has both albums on one CD) for 9.99 from eBay. I also snagged a digital version of Walk the West's album and Jon Butcher Axis's "Along the Axis," as well as both of the CD's from the Firm (their first album came out the day I took my bid from AXP, so that album is tied to some damned fine memories...).

Ah, nostalgia...

anyone have any torrent search engines to recommend? bushtorrent.com is good, lots of indie and really popular shit on there. always a need for new sites.

i really need a copy of the new sunset rubdown. and if you like nada surf (as i do), if you haven't heard the weight is a gift yet, you are missing out. can't believe i discovered this album two years after it came out.

the gin blossoms' new miserable experience is actually an enjoyable album. they had a lot more than just their radio hits.

I've actually been using one of those russian d/l sites.. getting standard albums for under $2.50. I bought a bank gift card so there is no account link to any personal banking accounts (and I replenish it when I need to). My profile is completely bogus. I have no issues with music quality and the dl speeds are very good (I have Verizon's Fiber Optic service). I can find just about anything on the site and as you bring up an album to review it (you can preview the music) the site indicates other albums that people have downloaded in addition to the album you're reviewing.

Good?

I haven't checked out the new one.

Way back when, the laser just about wore a groove through the NOLA CD.

Also have Box of Frogs on vinyl - haven't busted it out for years. Might be time to get a turntable.
