You know, you mow down all the burnable shit every few miles or so. Yeah, it would probably interfere with some fukking animals migratory habits, but, fukk them.

Seems to me that housing developments could be built to act as firebreaks. It might mean telling them they couldn't have giant decks or really faggy ornamental bushes up against their pads, but, of fukking well. It beats having them entire place go up.

Or, you could just move to a place that gets rain every now and then.

Dude, are you kidding me? You cover every inch of that place in asbestos and global warming is still going to kick their ass.

I know this, because God, I mean Gore tells me so.

And if you don't believe Him, just ask those drowning polar bears or the 40% of Greenland that just disappeared overnight.

SoCal could never be more ready for an 8.0 eartquake right NOW!

the coverage would be unbelievable since there are so many media alreadythere.
It would be wall to wall coverage. It would be best if it happened next week, out od compassion to the fireman who could use the weekend off, and the world series will likely be over by then.

Geraldo has been spectular this week. Informative, yet compassionate.
I bet he's dusting off a shelf for the awards he'll be winning.

But here's a small clue on the house, firebreaks don't mean shit when you've got gale force winds pushing the fire.

Yeah, 70MPH winds tend to render firebreaks fairly useless.

Hey, cut down all of that brush! This sounds like a brilliant plan!

Check back in when you get a fucking clue. Trust me, whatever "bright idea" you might have rattling around in your empty gourd has been already been considered.

But here's a small clue on the house, firebreaks don't mean shit when you've got gale force winds pushing the fire.
I hear you dude, but you have to admit there are some measures that can be taken to reduce your cataclysm, I know nothing of your plight other than what I read and view and many local fireman have been quoted saying that residents are bypassing some practical means for aesthic purposes. As well as some environmental regulation that prevents some clearing of ground fuels.

I don't pretend to have any experience in brush or forest fires under Santa furnace blasts, but I do have training in damage control and it seems that ya'll could use just an ounce of prevention.

Oh that, and shoot more looters and arsonistic cyclists.

This actually doesn't sound like too bad of an idea.

They could transport the residents of Willowbrook, Crenshaw, Athens, Gardena, North Long Beach, etc.....

Why transport the residents? Aren't they part of the problem too? Burn 'em up with the houses, make that fire break. kinda like metropolitan darwinism.
