Iowa fucking State?

Post by MiketheangrydrunkenCUfan »

Wow. That was just embarrassing. I'm still not exactly sure what the fuck happened in the closing seconds, but it should've never come to that in the first place. How the hell do you blow a 21-point lead to Iowa fucking State? Dear lord. Well, with CU losing and Nebraska winning, at least the CU/NU game actually has some meaning now. It's a battle to see who gets to go to the Emerald Praline Pecan Bowl on Dec. 19. Whoopdy fuckin do. Guess I should've held out and just bought my tickets from scalpers. They'll probably be going for $20 a pair....

sounds like the Buffs got screwed based on the KOA radio call. refs did NOT make it clear what was going on as per the clock and play on the field. Eberhardt apparently made BOTH FG attempts.

how did Oklahoma blow a 21 point lead to Colo-fucking-rado? ;)

Buff boards are giving up en masse as per beating NU based on the Bugs beating KSU. CU fans are such schizo quitters. sorry Mike, it's true.

OU fans are wicked delusional a lot of the time, but CU fans are such schizo quitters (Bronco mentality is just the same)....

i give these people (in an existential kind of way) for living in the moment, but gawddamned after beating Tech Hawk was God part II (not the U2 song, which is the best song on Rattle and Hum--the most pompous thing ever filmed)....but now, somehow, CU is getting destroyed by NEbraska in two weeks.

i'm not even a CU fan for real and i have more sack than CU fan.

that's why I avoid those homer boards like the plague. If the Buffs manage to get a 21-point lead on the 'skers, I seriously doubt they'll just lay down for an entire half...

Rack the Cyclowns....!!! Chizik will have that team making life tough on Big 12 foes that look past them. Jus' like today.

Callahan's a lame duck coach, (thank-you very much) but that offense with a "college" QB that has escapability and teammates that wanted him playing from day one...will give CU ALL they want in Potville.

Joey Ganz is all game. Ron Prince after the game was quoted as saying" He's the best QB I've seen in college since Phillip Rivers."

The bad news is Cosgrove will make the trip.

Mike, you're most anticipated game, that you probbly felt was a gimme after the KU debacle, may well rip the turkey right out of your Thanksgiving!

Ironic that that would make my season. Sad as well.

Now that injury has forced BC to play Ganz and the team/coaches are lettting it go we have a good shot at winning in Boulder. Too bad CU losing to ISU makes the Buffs a sub.500 team and nothing to brag about beating. Which may be good since some will likely use that game as "proof" that BC should stay.

Props to the clones for hanging-in-there. After beating Baylor they'll actually have the same conference record CU, Neb, and KSU will likely finish with. After some rough times ISU is showing signs of becoming a competitor again.

Props to the 'skers for representing on senior-day. Nice to see them finally make a home-stand.

CU? How the hell do you blow that kind of lead to freaking ISU?

KSU looked like shit today. Freeman is Jekyll and Hyde, still very immature. I can't fathom why their OC wouldn't use the read-option that has gouged the hell out of us the last three games.

so, now Joey Ganz is a throwback hero to old-timey nebraska football?

Ganz is very mobile. NU went for it on 4th and 20 in the 3rd quarter and he scrambled for the first down when no one was open. He ran the option in high school.

The team looked so much better with him under center than with Keller. That can only tell me one thing about BC. It's a damn coaching mistake.

I would give BC more credit for this win if putting Ganz in was his idea, unfortunately BC had to have his big name get hurt to give the guy that can actually work our offensive system and has some wheels an actual opportunity. If BC had brought Ganz in earlier and put the hook to Coz he could've saved his job. But I say it is too late. 6-6 Shouldn't save BC when you conider we'll only have one win over a team with a winning record and should've lost to freaking Ball State.

As disappointing as it is to be heading into the Nebraska game with a losing record, I guess in the grand scheme of things, we're about where we should be. Losing a game we had no business losing (ISU) basically cancels out us winning a game we had no business winning (OU). So for all "intensive purposes" (heh) I guess we're right where we should be - on the brink of a .500 season and a potential bowl berth with the chance to send Callahan out on a very sour note as an added bonus.

Huskerfan, if there's even a small minority that think Cally should stick around with a 6-6 record, we'll do everything in our power to convince them otherwise.

Oh, and minor threat, in case you're reading this, I'll go ahead and give it up for the 'clones. I'm still not sure what exactly happened in the last 6 seconds of that game, but like I said before, it shouldn't have come down to that in the first place. Props to the Tornadoes for playing a full 60 minutes of football (or at the very least, the most important 30 minutes).

ISU is kinda like Colorado last year. I'm happy to see them start to come together and start playing decent football. Too bad it's at the end of the season. I think the future is bright for the North.

I was scratching my head after the game. Very strange ending, but I'll take it.
