No way does ATM score that many points. Should be a laugher. Over by the 2nd quarter.

ATM pulls within a score in the 4th, but the Aggie D sucks so badly Mizzou has moved it right down the field....in the red zone.

nevermind, TD mizzou.

McGee sacked in end zone. so much for yet another Aggie savior at QB, the Ags compared this option attack to 95 Nebraska earlier in the year.....Aggie fan threw McGee under the bus weeks ago just like they did with Reggie "he's better than Vince" McNeil.

gig em.

KC,

I don't post the stupipd ass comments on here at Sooner homer boards as if people here posted that. As the only Aggie representation here, I'm quite sure I never said/did anything you posted above. In fact, I've jokingly posted links to tex(f)ags.com as fodder for this board.

If you want to blast Aggie homers from that site over here, feel free. Just be sure you qualify it first and don't insinuate that all Ags, especially here at T1B, shared those same sentiments.

As for the game, I'm surprised we were within 14 as bad as we played on defense. Couldn't make a tackle for fuck and 1st half penalties on offense killed us. Misery is going to have to play much better than today if they want to beat Kansas and OU in a rematch. They should have won by 30 today.

you are right Indy. texags is the board i refer too. i've referred to the OUInsider board as myopic stupid in hoops just the same. and i think most of teh Sooner posters here do post with a degree of self-aware irony given OU homer boards which are ridiculous (unlike SEC fan, or Mizzou fan).

that being said, you make the correct point. i should qualify it as you say.

However, i DO find it pretty moronic among the aggie fan base that hates on OU so hard for recruiting and getting Texas players.....like it's some kind of "new thing". or it must be cheating that leads a good ol' straight up righteous, God fearing, crew cut wearing Texas boy to go play for those illiterate trailer trash dump the 88 Taurus ashtray of my Derby cigs in the parking lot of the Grocery store fucking Okies. Cause none of that shit happens in we are so cosmopolitan Texas.

or then there's Longhorn Bob/Schmick argument.

i like you Indy. but, Ag fan is not one that makes me like ATM. you guys talk like you are Bama or Michigan and you get some play regionally, but nationally no one really considers ATM a top program. there's a reason the Cotton Bowl was on at 10 AM CST on New Year's Day and the Orange Bowl was on Prime Time. you SWC people need to get over your Texas hubris and realize that.

Agree with the first statement, but not the 2nd. Hell, I feel fortunate to have won by as many as 14.

ATM showed up big. Don't know if they were playing to save their coach or what, but they played hard today for 4 qtrs. Not that I was expecting them to lay down or anything, but still...

Good effort, Aggies.

very disappointed in the playcalling

aTm sold out for the pass on defense. MU was running as pleased, then continued to try and chuck it. if the run is there, take it. who gives a fuck if you have 5 WR who want the ball, its about winning. finally while games on line they just ran it and ran it. suprise, when it works, stay with it and add in the pass.

the game looked so Pinkel, get a lead, go away from whats working(run) and keep defense on the field.

Fran is horrible. had ball inside the 10, first carry goes for 1, then 2 straight passes. not one option or a play that was working.

i think this team thought they were just going to go out and put 70 on aTm. they did have almost 6oo yards on offense, but they looked like they were getting ready for someone next week. Your not good enough to take weeks off. A definate game to get back to reality.

now to stop that streak in Manhatten!

KC,

Once again, you speak of texfags, not I. I go there and laugh at the "Why wouldn't Urban Meyer leave Florida for A&M?" threads. I've been banned from texfags because when people start threads like the one mentioned before, I would give them the dose of reality they needed. I was warned to not post anything negative about A&M or their program "because recruits read the board and don't need to see Ags trashing the program".

Well, I never did trash the program. I did, however, try to level-set quite a few times only to have my posts edited or deleted by the staff because it didn't meet the standards, that being myopic homerism.

I know other boards have homers. I do think texags is one of the worse, if not the worse, I've ever seen. Censorship in the sense that only positives can be said about the program is absurd.

All that being said, I do not think the average Ag thinks it is his or her god given right to have a championship team every year. You are really harping on the extreme. As for the Okies recruiting in Texas, I could care less. The only thing I am upset about is the fact we can't get them into our program. Hell, all day today, no matter what team I am watching, there is a handful of Texas high school athletes spread out everywhere. It only makes sense. Texas is a hot bed for HS football. Texas has a huge population. Of course outside states are going to get Texas players.

And if memory serves me correct, the only person on this board that ever said Texas recruits that cross state lines should be shunned was Austin_Jill. A&M has a storied college and college football tradition. That tradition's foundation IS NOT a long tradition of success. Rather, it is a tradition of pride. We are proud to be Aggies. We don't claim to be the Holy Grail of college football and all that is college. Yeah, you will have some asses who do act like that. They are not the majority.

As a whole, we pretty much like to party, watch our college football, enjoy the college life and just have a good time. I'm 31 with a wife and kid and another kid will be here in less than 3 weeks. I think just now I'm getting out of the college mindset 24x7...about 4-5 years too late. Sue me. Some of us never get out of that mindset. On Fall Saturdays though, for just a few hours, I like to get back in that place. As soon as the final whistle blows, I'm back to reality...and right now, that reality is Texas A&M football sucks.

Oh, and one more thing, regarding Aggie fanbase hating on OU for any reason, recruiting and all.

I've not spent much time at texfags in the last couple of years. Probably gone there less than 10 times. I've alwyas had respect for OU, and pretty much all of my Ag friends have had the same respect. We have a similar respect for t.u. We are little brother to t.u. and t.u. is OU's bitch over the past 8-10 years. It's been awhile but according to my math, no one at A&M has the right to act superior in any way to t.u. and OU.

Yeah, pregame smack and rivalry jabs are one thing. An air of elitism is another. And just as no one who isn't elite should walk around as if they are, I also feel those who are in that top tier should at the very least have some bit of humility because at some point, you will be humbled.

I've had a few beers tonight watching Baylor absolutely LIGHT UP the OU defense so I'm feeling the urge to jump into a conversation that doesn't involve me.

Indy, I couldn't agree with you more. The arrogance of "top-tier" fans is maybe my number one pet peeve in CFB. USC fan, Meds not included, has taken this practice to a new level in recent years. To be fair, OU fan is also very guilty. I love good-natured smack and putting asshats in their place but humility is such an underrated quality.

FWIW, I'm one OU fan who really likes and respects aTm. I've been to College Station for the last three OU / aTm games and I have to say that you have a special place there. I sincerely hope someone comes in and rights the ship. I also hope OU continues to come away with many Ws.

Texas fan will entertain the trading of Venables for Akina. At least you guys did not need a miraculous 90 yd int return for a td to seal the game with Baylor.
