It's no different than any other RB....they ALL get hurt. It's the nature of the job. Get over it already.BSmack wrote:Is brittle.

This might be a shock to you but he got hurt a lot in college too. He'll put up sick numbers when he's actually healthy but that's a huge if with him.

No shock at all. I've kind of been posting about it for the last few weeks.Shoalzie wrote:This might be a shock to you but he got hurt a lot in college too. He'll put up sick numbers when he's actually healthy but that's a huge if with him.BSmack wrote:Is brittle.

Peterson has already been declared OUT for next week. Childress is trying like hell to be coy about it, but he's not very good at it.
I wonder where Dinsdale is? :?
PFT.com is reporting that it is his LCL that is torn.Childress said that on a scale of 1 to 3, Peterson's tear is a 2-plus. "He's got a tear there," Childress said in his weekly news conference at Winter Park. "The knee is otherwise stable."

I would have to say that RIGHT NOW, Adrian Peterson is not the best back in the NFL.

It would be idiotic for the Vikings to rush this guy back, which is what it sounds like they want to do.

The sooner AP comes back, the sooner he'll get injured again. Dins might just as well lay back and enjoy it.

The same can be said about nearly ANY NFL RB....feel free to STOP beating this dead horse anytime now. It's stupid. Seriously.BSmack wrote:The sooner AP comes back, the sooner he'll get injured again. Dins might just as well lay back and enjoy it.

Duh...it's the nature of the position, you little ball of hate.mvscal wrote:All NFL running backs are injury prone? Is that what you're trying to say, you fat, bloated dumbshit?
In fact, tell me which NFL RB would've been able to bounce right up and line up for the next play after taking the exact same shot that AP did that tore his LCL. Needless to say I won't be holding my breath waiting for your answer, dipshit.

A lot of backs wouldn't have taken the shot, Paul.RevLimiter wrote:In fact, tell me which NFL RB would've been able to bounce right up and line up for the next play after taking the exact same shot that AP did that tore his LCL.
Avoiding potential nasty hits is a 'skill' that some backs have.
There is some 'fate' involved, no doubt, but there is also a matter of ability involved.

There are some backs that was never said about. You know, like the guys Dinsdale has been comparing AP to. One of the best backs Paul's Chiefs have ever had, Marcus Allen, was a master at not taking hits flush.
Always had his head on a swivel, and was always prepared to move off of a direct hit.
Always ran with a mind toward softening contact.
If you watch the play Peterson got lit up on you'll see that he was running in the middle of the field, in traffic, with knees high.
He looked like a guy that was in full stride in a 100 meter dash or something.
He was exposing himself to take a wicked hit.
Direct contrast to what you saw from Allen, and why, IMO, Allen was able to have the sort of lengthy career that he did.

Point well taken Pops....and well explained too. Oh, and thanks for NOT coming across like a severely bratty 8yr. old child when processing said take.

Nope, you know who I'm talking about.Dinsdale wrote:That scrub on the Bears got injured too?BSmack wrote:The sooner AP comes back, the sooner he'll get injured again.
Sorry, college nicknames only apply if you can say... play more than 10 games in a row without suffering a season ending injury. Not sure what that has to do with Adrian Peterson, but whatever.
He's AP around these parts.

Wanna link that up?
Unless you know something the media outlets don't.... in which case... do tell?
Oh... I get it... you were making shit up.
He's AP around these parts.
That's only because you're an ignorant, lying tard.
AP is a scrub for the Bears. AP was the nickname-due-to-initials of Peterson at OU.
There's a reson he's called All Day. Pray you don't find out why the hard way, like San Diego did.

I already linked it up. He has a tear in a knee ligament. Unless his coach is even dumber than you, he's on the shelf until next year.Dinsdale wrote:Wanna link that up?BSmack wrote:a season ending injury.

Yea, I sure hope two great games were worth a #7 overall pick by the Vikes. He'll be out of the league in 4 years. There's a reson he's called All Day. Pray you don't find out why the hard way, like San Diego did.

5 weeks means week 15. By then the Vikes will have been mathematically eliminated. Only if Childress is a complete fucking retard does he expose AP to further injury. Then again, this is the same idiot who thought Tavaris Jackson to be an NFL QB. So who the fuck knows?mvscal wrote:He's not "out for the year" until he is placed on injured reserve. He only partially tore the LCL and it will not require surgery, so it is feasible that he can be back in about three to five weeks.

Putting your best player in the game (the best RB in the NFL, by far) while your in the last throes of a playoff race is "dumb"?
Don't quit your day job chasing that dream of becoming an NFL coach, Goobs.

What mvscal said. Childress used to coach at the UW. He wasn't even a good college coach.
He's in way over his head at Minny. I hope they keep him.

Please. Save your fucking fairy tale bullshit for the tards at .net. Nobody's buying it. Last time I checked, "Chet" Taylor's on pace to run for just shy of 1,000 yards this season (~975). That's not fucking pork chop material.
