Demarco Murray rumor on Sooner board

Post by Vito Corleone »

According to Sooner Scoop They are saying Demarco has a dislocated kneecap. Damn shame if true, he is a hell of a back.

Murray is very talented, but i'm not sure he's your everydown back. Patrick and the reality that this Sooner OL is vastly overrated are the real disappointments however.

Murray is like a rich man's Brain Calhoun at CU or even Marlon Lucky....very nice football player but for every time he gets into your lb space or breaks one he's gonna give you 2 or 3 2nd and 13's. makes it hard to keep drives going when to quote the great Dave Lapham you get "behind schedule" like that it puts too much pressure on your QB on 3rd and 9. especially if it's Joey Halzle who hasn't taken any meaningful snaps. Bradford has been reasonably good, and Jason White was incredible (though still not ever as good as Drew Tate) on 3rd and X. it's like golf, you aren't gonna make pars all day trying to hit circus shots with your short game from the junk. this ain't on Halzle though.

Patrick used to run downhill North-South like a mother....

too bad about Tennell, though. if he's really out for the year.

dislocated knee caps are one of those things that you never recover from fully, the thing may lock up or pop on you at any time. Kris O' Dowd suffered from one vs Washington this year and hasnt made it back yet, on the same play Chilo rachal strained ligs in his knee and is back playing. Hopefully for Murray its a strained lig

You been reading our posts at the family.com KC. If not you should go hunt down the Murray thread there...

So, Bradford: Concussion.
Murray: Dislocated Kneecap. (Which sucks, btw...)
Tennel: ACL.

Tech didn't just kick our ass. They stepped on it, too.
