Friendly "gentleman's wager" on tonight's game ? I'll be rooting for the Orange with their
promising freshmen to take OSU to school, Jim Boeheim's whining and all !!
hey Buckeye fans--88 and others

The next post by 88 in here will be his first. He is like the vast majority of tO$U "fans" in that if a football isn't involved they could care less. A couple Bucknuts do post in here though.
Of course it's easy to say now but I honestly felt that tO$U would win that game. Butler was the PG before Conley and was able to lead tO$U to a B10 title. Hunter is a senior as is Terwilliger so they've got some experience up front, and Lighty played well enough last year to move a future NBA 1st round pick to the bench. Couple that returning talent with a great crop of freshmen and add a great coach to the mix and you've got something. The Buckeyes will be right there with IU and MSU for the B10 title this year.

"Our staff is going to ensure that anyone who attends this University and wears the Indiana uniform will make this privilege among their highest priorities and not treat the opportunity as an entitlement,'' Crean said in a statement. "We fully expect our student-athletes to accept the responsibilities academically, athletically and socially that come with representing one of the top programs in college basketball history."

Well I try and post as much as I can...but I live in ACC country and do not have access to a lot of OSU games...but I liken OSU poster in CB...to Shine in CFB (he posted moreso this year)...there hasn't been much to brag about with IU football until this year so forgive shine... (just kidding with ya man)...
but again I follow them as much as I can and outside of the early Ayers era and early O Brien era (in my lifetime) there hasn't been much to post/brag about.
Things are looking up with Matta and another top flight recruiting class next year...so I hope we can take down A&M and get another good win under the belt...
War the big 10 finally winning the challenge...

Some very good teams from '90-'92. Along with JJ, Mark Baker, Chris Jent and Jamaal Brown were very solid players back in the day. Should have had Michigan salted away in the Elite Eight in '92....buckeye_in_sc wrote: but again I follow them as much as I can and outside of the early Ayers era and early O Brien era (in my lifetime) there hasn't been much to post/brag about.

Not trying to make excuses, but here out west, getting access to tOSU football games on Saturdays is a whole helluva lot easier than getting access to tOSU basketball games during the week.
You can't call me fairweather, I am a Buckeye fan whether it's football, basketball, baseball, tennis, whatever. But no matter how good or bad the preseason prognostications for Buckeye CBB are, I rarely post much here in November or December.
Consider it part of the "read more, post less" theory. Based on the importance of the CBB regular season (not that important IMO) and the annual roster clearing sweepstakes (freshmen and sophomores leaving for the NBA each season), I use November, December and early January to assess my team as well as other teams I can catch during the week.
