The good OU team showed up tonight, and played better than most Sooner Fan could have imagined this side of the Miami ass-kicking in like week 3 or some shit.
Truman wrote:Instead, they'll have to content themselves mucking out stalls with the likes of Kansas in Glendale. No dishonor there; however, OU proved tonight that they deserve a shot at the best.
Exactly why we need a playoff.

Tonight, for all intents and purposes, was a sort of playoff, in a ~ gasp ~ actual CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. {'sup BCS honks?} Oh wait, since LSU also won, one of these "meaningless" games, they should now be considered to play in a virtual home game for the MNC? But I digress ...

Truman wrote:Oh well, fun ride while it lasted. Rack Mizzou for a fine season.
RACK Mizzou, indeed. And you and Adel, e, and Wags.

Btw, if we were all playing the Brent drinking game with full shots, none of us (outside of Dins of course) would be able to walk, much less type, given how many times Cuntsberger said "Folks."

Two gems, in particular, in the 4th, when the game was well out of reach:

"Folks, that DeMarco Murray is a home-run hitter, and I just couldn't help thinking had he been in tonight, how much more of a margin this would be."

(a few minutes later, camera pans to Murray, in street clothes) "And there his is folks, the home-run hitter."

Fuck, I HATE that guy. Seriously. WORST. EXCUSE. FOR. A. PLAY-BY-PLAY. GUY. EVER.

WAR -- not having to hear from "I've been a Mizzou fan forever" ever again... a particularly vile example of a tard.

That was one of the more widespread, shameless examples of a bandwagon I've ever seen.

No, I wasn't in chat tonight, e.

I was too busy flipping between the WVa meltdown against Pitt and cussing at the TV during the play-by-play "call" of the MU-OU game.

Oh, look, SoonerFan magnanimous in victory. :meds:

An ass-kicking for the ages. Major ups to the Sooners for validating that OU is still the team to beat in the XII and that Missouri still is... well, Missouri.

If anything, SoonerFan oughtta be right pissed for shitting the bed earlier this season against the Buffs. This team should be in New Orleans come January 8th. don't look now, Mizzou fan playing the false contrition strategy. if you had won, you'd still be dry humping Chase and Pinkey...as is, you play the respectable loser role.

Rack Missouri and the Tiger fans on this board! Oklahoma just played lights out last night and Missouri should still be proud of a great season. This could develop into a solid rivalry. I'd be surprised if the same two teams don't meet in the CCG next year.

Best of luck to both teams in their bowl games.

Right. And if we cured cancer, even money sez we'd write about that too. Seriously, King, do you trouble yourself to actually think before posting or do the words fly naturally out of your ass?

Ponderous....

Still lying, eh?

BTW- is Kansas still a "top 5" team like you predicted? Or does the "at THE TIME" standard still only apply to the teams you choose, while every other team is judged by the end-of-season ranking of its opponents?

Dunno. Try plugging those six Kal losses into U of O's SOS and get back to me. 'Course, those nettling losses to Arizona, UCLA, and Oregon State are likely to skew the results a bit....

Congrats and props to the Oklahoma Sooners. You own Mizzou, and are still King of the Hill.

No bitterness, recriminations, or excuses from this keyboard. We got stomped, and the much better team won.

This would be a really excellent time for me to go dig a hole and crawl into it for awhile.

See folks, these posts are how you do this thing after a game like this. Oh, and Densehole you can go fuck yourself with your "bandwagon Mizzou" fucking bullshit- those of us that have posted here longer than you know better. Did I mention that you can fuck off?

So, that whole "Kal was #2 AT THE TIME" is sounding pretty silly to you right now?

Maybe you should review what actually happened, then get back to me when you figure out why you look so silly.

Hint: "AT THE TIME" was your criterion, not mine. I was just looking to see how you felt about it when it was applied to a team other than the one you were honking.

Just back from Montreal last night - guess I've read enough where I can just delete it from the TiVo now.

Props to the Sooners
