Bills at 'Skins
Let me start off by saying that it was damned nice to:
1) have the OTHER team's coach be the one making a stupid decision (thanks for the extra 15 yards, Joe Gibbs...)
2) finally be on the winning end of a last-minute lead change
The Bills' defense and Ryan Lindell were huge, and Edwards did what he needed to do when it needed to be done.
Here's hoping that Lynch comes back next week and helps to make Miami 0-13.

How many rings does Joe have compared to Norvelous?mvscal wrote:I'll bet Norviega at least knows you can't call back to back timeouts, though. I believe Norv won a few as the OC with the Cowgirls but don't confuse the issue with that kind of nonsense. Attempting to call 2 time outs in a row is a clear sign that Joe's faculties aren't all there. Time to sip soup and watch Wapner!RevLimiter wrote:How many rings does Joe have compared to Norvelous?mvscal wrote:I'll bet Norviega at least knows you can't call back to back timeouts, though. I was surfing the 'net today (school closed due to a snow day...) to catch NFL news and comments, and I keep running into comments about the 'Skins first defensive play, in which they only put out 10 guys as a "tribute" to Taylor. Apparently, some 'Skins fans and limp-wristed sports pundits believe that the Bills were classless for ripping a 22-yard running play, instead of just taking a knee. Some folks are even claiming that the normally sane NFL guys at Fox (Brown, Terry, Howie) chimed in with their belief that the Bills should have taken a knee.
Bullshit.
This candy-ass sensitivity stupidity has GOT to stop. It's a frigging football game, people. If the Redskins were stupid enough to only put ten guys out there, they DESERVE to have a big play smacked on them. The Bills did the smart thing - the ONLY thing - by taking advantage. Any fan, commentator, or player who honestly thinks that the Bills should have taken a knee is a frigging whiny little pussy. If the 'Skins wanted a true tribute to their teammate, they should have freaking played better (and their coach should have reviewed the rulebook).
Shit, imagine what Belichick would have done in the Bills' position...

The Skins are lucky Trent Edwards didn't notice the missing man and audible into a deep pass play.
Yea, who am I kidding. I'm sure the Bills don't even let Edwards audible.

I'm just happy that they didn't fumble the ball that play.BSmack wrote:The Skins are lucky Trent Edwards didn't notice the missing man and audible into a deep pass play.

Going deep on that play would have been rubbing it in a bit. Calling a run in that position is fine. Taylor would not have been up in the box on that play. There is no excuse why the Skins couldn't stop a running play with a missing safety. Their DL and LB should have been able to stop it. Then again it is the skins.....
Belichick and Brady both would have audibled out and gone deep to Moss. Thats how they roll, and the take no prisoners fan in me LOVES THEM FOR IT!! :)

Apparently they dont. When asked if he noticed that there were just ten men on defense, Edwards said he noticed it. He clearly should have audibled and gone deep then.BSmack wrote:The Skins are lucky Trent Edwards didn't notice the missing man and audible into a deep pass play.
