Vick gets 23 months
Could be out by summer of 2009. Just in time to take the reins from Jamarcus Russell.

My guess is that Vick pleads out to the state charges fairly directly. Now that the Federal sentence is known, Vick's attorney's can begin negotiating for a concurrent sentence on the state charges.Neely8 wrote:Not even that long. The State is filing their own charges too. This was just the sentencing for the Federal part.

When dealing with both federal and state charges, it's easier to negotiate a concurrent sentence if the state charges were sentenced first. That's not the case here, so they have a little bit more of an uphill climb to get concurrent sentences. It's up to the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) on how this will be handled. Odds are that he would get concurrent sentences and not consecutive given the nature of the crimes and that he's a first time offender. That's what an AUSA told me yesterday when we were speaking about this very issue.BSmack wrote:My guess is that Vick pleads out to the state charges fairly directly.
