Dookie V will be out until at least February with a throat problem. I can't imagine how someone like him would ever develop a throat issue.
In all seriousness though, hope he is able to recover fully from this. He may have become a caricature of himself over the past decade or so but he was a great announcer in his prime and always an ambassador of college hoops.
I wonder which announcer on ACCPN is going to pick up the Blue Devil pom-poms though???

I agree that he's been a horrid announcer for the past 10+ years but if you ever catch any Classic games on the tube from the late 80's/early 90's you'll be shocked at how good he used to be. Which makes it all the more sad that he's become what he's become.Goober McTuber wrote:Sorry, the guy may be a great ambassador for college B-Ball, but he has been unlistenable for years. Yeah, Keith Jackson may be the senile Pac 10 homer now, but he at least still sounds the same when he uses the right words.Shine wrote:I agree that he's been a horrid announcer for the past 10+ years but if you ever catch any Classic games on the tube from the late 80's/early 90's you'll be shocked at how good he used to be.
