yeah, there was talk of the so-called "third uniform" on boards after the new unis made their debut. i'm just glad they weren't black. though i don't see why busting them out against Tulsa in front of 4000 crazed Sooner hoops lunatics was the call to make.

the team shot over 50 % from the stripe (73%) for the first time in 2 or 3 games (tough to win road games in conference shooting 50% from the line), so i'd be all for them wearing them all the time if that's what it takes.

That is the same thing my buddy said, can't say a disagree.

I know the uniform does not matter, so that being said.. don't change the unis to a color that has nothing to do with the OU color scheme. Gray?

at some point prior to football uni changes: widely controversial thick double stripe on the pants and the metallic helmet of 2000: as i recall we were wearing Nike's Stanford color since we didn't even merit our own crimson. personally will always like the darker crimson and enamel helmet (not bass boat shiny) of the late 70's better than now, those helmets also feature the "block OU logo" at a slight tilt on the helmet that was really bad ass but hey.

but, in terms of basketball, i can live with the grays i guess (though they seem totally unnecessary to me) since nothing was as bad as one of the unis Converse gave us in the Ryan Minor years. some weird pant design looked like our guys had been run over by a snow tire. those were terrible.

i knew we'd end up with the wider shoulder style unis since Capel is a young brother on the AAU tip, and that's what the hep, trendy NCAA teams were wearing last year.

Pinkel is used as a verb by Misouri fans

i pinkel'd a chance to score some puss at the bar last night. set it up, then pissed it away late, and ended up losing out!

i'm more in the Froz corner here. the ARkie win was nice and one you HAVE to have to even think about the NCAA tournament, at home. and plus, i don't think they are very good. the Gonzaga win is the only game on TV, and its an "inter-sectional" win.

too bad OU is playing WVU in the Fiesta Bowl, because that game is sold out due to the duplicity. but, i'd have taken winning 2/3 of the Hog, Zag, and WVU stretch and danced a jig 2 weeks ago. i still think we are an NIT team, but last year's Sooners lose all 3. gonna be tough to get 9 conference wins in the South. not because it's great, or has elite teams, but road wins are gonna be tough to come by for this years Sooners. particularly if they can't figure out how to get their *good* free throw shooters to the line on the road.

62% from the stripe against WVU. have i mentioned how much i love those grey unis?

3-0 against Arkie, Gonzaga and WVU. like i say, i'd have danced a jig 2 weeks ago to win one of them. i did eat chicken fried steak *in Norman* night before last...so, hey.

Still don't like the uniforms, but I stay with the team.

@WV is a really good win.

Have not bitched about Capels coachin at all

Still it is early, but I am seeing a lot of things I like. Capel was a good hire.

BAH the uniforms, kind of like your wife getting a horrible haricut, you love her and eventually just come to accept it.

good basketball > bad uniforms
