For such a short post, this raises a couple of interesting issues. The first one I'll address is the one regarding what others on this board want you to do. There are probably those who would prefer that you simply disappear and stop posting altogether under any nic, but I imagine they're in the minority. I think most want you to stick around and don't really care what nic you use, for the reason that every board needs its bitches, and you do an admirable job of fulfilling that need. If you were to retire your current nic and start posting under a new one, it wouldn't take long before everyone realized it was you anyway, as was the case when you adopted your current handle. You would continue to serve as one of the board's primary speedbags, and I think most here truly appreciate that.

But perhaps an issue raised here that illuminates your character in a more positive light is your willingness to persevere in spite of the abuse heaped upon you. This stick-to-it attitude is one that is worthy of a certain degree of respect. Not a high degree, mind you, but a certain one nonetheless. It does beg the question of motive, however. The way I see it, your reason for wanting to press on is one of only two possibilities.

You cited "facts" in an earlier post, and I think now would be a good time to examine one. Let's face it - this whole message board posting activity is not one of your strong suits. At least, for your sake, I hope it's not. Because if it is, it pretty much means you suck at everything, and therefore, cyanide is your friend. Oh, sure, I guess the argument can be made that this observation is more of an opinion than a fact. But when an opinion is universally held to be true, as this one is, it transcends the world of opinion and is elevated to the realm of factuality, and therefore will be considered a fact from this point forward. This being the case, you've resigned yourself to the fact that you're simply a board bitch, will always be a board bitch, and you're OK with that. You've learned your role, know your role, have accepted your role, and perform that role with unmatched adroitness. This would be one of the two possible motives I mentioned in the previous paragraph - resignation to, and acceptance of, your position (ironic as it may be) at the bottom of the food chain.

The other possibility is that you're tired of being treated by the board in much the same way that Tina Turner was treated by Ike, and have subscribed to the philosophy that practice makes perfect. You may feel that if you keep posting, you'll eventually get good at it, perhaps even reaching the point where you can actually post some of your own material other than or . There is some nobility and respectability associated with this, despite the unlikelihood of its success. Your willingness to push forward in the face of near-certain failure is praiseworthy.

So why? Why do you choose to keep posting? A desire to improve, or acceptance of permanent inferiority? This isn't a test or anything; no studying is required, and there are no right or wrong answers.
