I hate mega superstar bands!

Post by Eddie Adams »

Just tried at 10:00 am est, to purchase tickets for U2's fall leg.

Ordering through ticketmaster.com was futile. Forget that shit.
All sold out, at any price, in less than five minutes. They must only allow a certain few thousand available online; 1,000 or fewer at each price. That's rediculous. No way are 5,000 floor Gen. Adm. gone in 5 min. @ two per person or order. No way.

Screw it. Probably saved me $400 beans for tics, and hundreds more for the night out. Christ, just think of the things you can do with $500 bucks.

Oh well, maybe the band will do a concert DVD in a couple years?

Corporate mega bands suck!!!!!!! :x

I saw U2 back in 87. It was a great show, but I have no need to see them again either. Especialy since their last 15 years worth of material has sucked stale bongwater.

$400 bucks for concert tickets? If I go see Death From Above '79 tomorrow night, I doubt they get $400 bucks to play.

Oh, wait... I remember. The tix are worth the $400 bucks because of the awesome light show. This light show is so awsome its almost as good as the one you get to see for free on 4th of July.

Did you go see them? They play here in a few weeks but I'm not sure if I'm going to go. The venue they're playing at sucks and I have at least two other shows to go to that week, so they better be fucking great live if I'm going to make the effort to see them.

Bono needs the money to finance his campaign for head of the World Bank. :P

No shit, man.

Did ya see where he and his wife just opened a line of clothing, called
'Edun' - (Nude spelled backwards)

Bono swore the materials for the jeans are organic, and they were assembled in "fair labor" factories in the S. America's. So he won't take any hits for that, anywho.

Price for a pair of jeans = $185.00 smackers!

I just don't get this corporationalized rock icon band stuff. How does one even get to see these guys? The tickets are all gone in minutes! Why aren't U2 playing some stadiums? Ford Field in Detroit would be excellent!
