Kravitz

Post by RumpleForeskin »

Am I the only one who digs him here?

He's hit or miss on his tunes, but overall I like the funk and soul into his rock 'n roll. Always on the Run and Straight Gold Player are some bad ass tunes.

Rumps is new, so he might have missed it... and it's entirely possible that I never made mention of it on this board...

But when Lenny Kravitz was first starting his touring career, I didn't know the guy from Adam... and threatened to drag him and his holier-than-thou attitude outside the bar into the street by his hair and beat the living fuck out of him, in no uncertain terms.

He left after that. One of my friends was coming in as dude (and his date) left, and sat down and said "hey, that's Lenny Kravitz who just walked out. He has a show here tomorrow night."

Because that is how I roll.

Not even the only Top-40 "artist" I've threatened with violence. As a younger man, I had little tolerance for arrogant pricks... and go figure -- now I'm their leader.

How about I just drag you outside by your hair and kick your ass instead?

You'd be in good company.

Back on topic..

SM if you like Kravitz, check out TV on the Radio... darker sound and less pop.

Hard to understand Screw_English, but that sounded like I'm accused of being Pickle now.

That's a new one. I've heard some good ones over the years, but that one is right up there.
