I then asked Zimmerman about the upcoming Pro Football Hall of Fame selection meeting, which is on the day before the Super Bowl. Zimmerman is one of the selectors, and he recently changed his mind about former Redskins receiver Art Monk, saying that after years of being the most vocal opponent of Monk's enshrinement, he will now vote for Monk. So what changed his mind?
"I figured, just put him the f--- in already," Zimmerman told me. "I'm tired of being the a--hole."

This is the most glaring ommission from the Hall of Fame. It's embarrassing for the NFL to have this void from Canton.
Here are a couple quotes to digest:
Ronnie Lott: "Art Monk was an example for Jerry Rice. That's what Jerry always told me."
Bill Parcells: "Monk is headed to Canton downhill on roller skates"
Bill Belichick, 1990 as D-coordinator of the Giants: "Monk is one of the best receivers I've ever seen. I wish he would retire already."
Who do you think knows more about football? Lott/Rice/Parcells/Belichick, or Dr. Z and Peter King?
I have yet to hear a former player or coach or even a fan of a rival team say that he doesn't belong. So who are these people who keep voting against him? Some pussy writers who got their feelings hurt some time ago because Monk wouldn't talk to them.
