Hey Sooner
Here is Goeff Ketchum's Texas top 30 list for 2k9. From that list who do you think you will get?
Of the uncommitted guys the ones that I feel best about are: Shepard, McFarland, Whaley, McAllister, Okafur, Gray, and Porter.
What are you guys hearing? I think you guys end up with Loston, Rollison, Timmons, and possibly Brent
Big fights will be Walters and Ashcraft both sides are really going to fight for those two.
BTW how many will you take? The number I'm hearing from Texas is between 15 and 20.

It doesn't matter, anyone who committs to us will drop like a rock onthat list the next time it is updated.

Re: Hey Sooner
besides Vito's post is prolly a set-up for the "all of OU's best players come from Texas" routine. It would be pretty off-season hep if it were 1999 and we were on hornfans.com or Bob Wheeler's spinoff site.SunCoastSooner wrote:It doesn't matter, anyone who committs to us will drop like a rock onthat list the next time it is updated.

I sometimes wonder why I even try talking to spooner fan, they are pretty much incapable of civil conversation.

Like Sooner fan hasn't noticed its commitments drop like a rock from the Texas' Rivals site as soon as they committ to OU for the last decade now.

Re: Hey Sooner
Feel the love...
I haven't really versed myself on the 2009 crop yet but I would assume that OU will focus on Linebackers and D-backs. It will be hard to repeat the sucess Oklahoma had in Texas this year, landing the top three on the Rivals list. I have a feeling that Mike Sherman may have more of an impact next year, especially if he can show some progress in the W-L column.

Why? Because the conversation isn't going the way you want?Vito Corleone wrote:I sometimes wonder why I even try talking to spooner fan, they are pretty much incapable of civil conversation.

Re: Hey Sooner
well..if mack doesnt have any of those guys signed before or in january, you can forget it that they sign.
Mack has basically given up on the recruits that arent diehard and commit early. This year is a testiment to that. And if you notice..he wont fight for a kid to go to Texas. If OU is in a recruit's top 2 he won't push hard for the kid.
