I thought it might be proper if he used even an approximation of the scientific method: formulate working hypotheses, accumulate some background research, take surveys and most importantly, do experiments. Then, once he gets to the point where he's collecting DNA samples a coupla different ways, he'll know he's found some breathtaking new results that could influence any future conclusions.
