i fried my headphone jack at work a few weeks ago. i had built up some static and passed it through my headphones when i went to pick them up. "ZAP!" knew it as soon as i heard it.
so i did some research and found out there are little usb external sound cards that you can use for headphones and for a mic. i bought a cheap one the other day off amazon and unfortunately it works for pc's only.
i know griffin has an "Imic" that is around $30, but i really don't want to spend that much unless i have to.
also, do you have to replace the WHOLE sound card to fix the busted headphone jack? the sound is fine, i can get sound over the internal speaker but the shit i like to listen to while at work isn't exactly office friendly.
