Kansas/taco tceh
I fucking hate taco tceh as if they raped my daughter, wife and mother, but Kansas has a 50 point lead and are jacking up 3's with 30 on the shot clock on every posession. That's pretty bad.

109-51 KU.....wow.
And I thought they looked good taking K-State to the woodshed on Sat. night- this was an outright MUGGING on their part.

with the maturation of the Big XII south, i'm starting to feel that way about Tech, too.IndyFrisco wrote:I fucking hate taco tceh as if they raped my daughter, wife and mother, but Kansas has a 50 point lead and are jacking up 3's with 30 on the shot clock on every posession. That's pretty bad.
i used to sort of pull for Spike Dykes. and Leach is kinda fun, but that place is weird in a bad way.
until Self makes the final four this is all frosting. the onus is on Bill. otherwise, it's gonna get uglee in Larrytown with all dem Mickey D's AA's and no FF.

KC,
tceh just seems to pride themselves on being assholes. I have a friend whose sister went there. She is a good person, knew her all my life. The drop in maturity whenever anything A&M vs. tceh happens is amazing. It is almost like they are the kid who takes a shit on your front door mat and rings the doorbell only to jump up and point the finger Dumb and Dumber style when the dude ate the chili peppers whilst giggling uncontrollably when you step in it. I hate all things t.u., but I have a certain level of respect for them. I know you hate them, but their fans, for the most part, are educated and usually act with class win or lose for the most part. Yeah, every team has their assholes. It just seems tceh has cornered the market on stink stars.

Re: Kansas/taco tceh
i got no real problems with Texas. they suck and OU sucks. way it is.
i've watched Oklahoma-Texas the second week in October since i was a kid. pushing 30 years of that shizz. every year.
UT is a school with a lot of money, Austin is a hip city. that's cool.
but, fuck Texas.

To be fair, Tech pretty much quit halfway through the game.War Wagon wrote:Welcome to "Senior Night" at KU.IndyFrisco wrote:Kansas has a 50 point lead and are jacking up 3's with 30 on the shot clock on every posession. That's pretty bad.

He might have a legit complaint with that, now that you mention it.Believe the Heupel wrote:Maybe Pat can complain about the timekeeping...
Hell, they should have kept the clock running the entire 2nd half just like they do in HS football when the game gets completely lopsided.
For the record, that was the worst beatdown in the history of the Big XII.

Yeah it's a damn shame they tossed the Big 8 records or that would still belong to Mizzou ;)

Re: Kansas/taco tceh
Dammit, I missed this one! I love watching blowouts because it's funny to watch one team launching 3's while the other team has mailed it in. 2 things I love to watch when it involves a team I don't care about are beatdowns and one team just completely melting down. Kind of like the A&M-OU game. I found myself rooting for A&M to go scoreless the rest of the game. They went about 20 minutes without a point, which is beyond hilarious!

^^^ What a load of horseshit. There's something not right upstairs if you enjoy watching blowouts. Sometimes I see why you've earned the tag Jon=Bitch.
I watch sports to see good competition and drama. Games like that one last night had people switching the channel all over America.

Re: Kansas/taco tceh
Oh, I prefer a good hard-fought close game to a blowout, but sometimes when it gets to a point where it's a complete beatdown I start rooting for the team that's ahead to continue pouring it on purely for entertainment purposes. I don't turn on the TV hoping to see a blowout, but once the game is out of hand, there's really nothing else to watch for except to see if the team that is ahead can really pour it on.
Re: Kansas/taco tceh
hardly. blowouts where one team gets ahead by 20 and nothing changes are boring, but pouring it on is awesome. the effort's still there, and tell me the student section doesn't love every second of it.War Wagon wrote:^^^ What a load of horseshit. Re: Kansas/taco tceh
Exactly. Who in their right mind would prefer to see a blowout as opposed to a nail biter? But hey, if it's a 20 game late in the first half, might as well turn that 20 into 40.....or in the case of Kansas the other night- 58!! I'm all for launching 3's with 30 seconds on the shot clock when a team is ahead by 30 in the 2nd half. Because that way they give themselves a chance to win by 50.
Now, I must admit to being a hyprocrite here, but when the tides are turned and it's happening to my Hawkeyes I curse at the opposing coach and call him classless for running up the score.

As the great Billy Tubbs once said........and I paraphrase: Kansas wasn't running up the score; they were doing Tech a favor by letting them know just how much they need to improve to compete with a program like Kansas!!
