Georgia's run in the SEC tournament...
The whole thing moves the campus of Georgia Tech and the Bulldogs had to play twice on Saturday but won both games. I could do without Coach Felton crying about how he thinks he's getting screwed over, which is just him giving his team an excuse. For one thing, win more than 4 games in conference and maybe you won't have to be busting your ass this weekend to get in the tournament. They play their third game in 24 hours when they face Arkansas in the championship game.
It's a cool story if they win today but Felton's bitching yesterday was kind of pathetic. You can't control the weather and that tornado didn't give a damn about any basketball game...it just happened. Play the hand you're dealt and just happy to have the opportunity to play into the Big Dance after playing so poorly in SEC play. A team like that shouldn't even be able to play in a conference tournament in the first place. What's the point of the regular season if you can just back into the field of 65 by going on a mini-run in your conference tourney. I really wish the bigger conferences would eliminate teams going into the tournament...like maybe allowing only 8 teams compete instead of every team.

The bigger conferences wouldn't want to lose the money of not having that extra day (or 2 in the case of the Big East beginning next season) of games.
I'm glad that the Big East expanded the tournament for all teams next season and the format would make it very difficult for the 9-16 seeds to win the title, but I can see your point of if a Georgia or Illinois type run occurred.

Bitter towards the old coach?

North Carolina #1 in the East, Memphis #1 in the South, UCLA #1 in the West and Kansas #1 in the Midwest...I think you mark that down.

Not bitter as much as the fact as they do not deserve a bid.
Their best win was against Miami in the ACC tournament, so why should they get rewarded for that?

Bad year for the ACC...maybe just three teams?

It's ovah...props to the Bulldogs completing that difficult run. I'm sure the watch parties in Blacksburg and Syracuse are going to be quite tense.

It will be nice to see what kind of spin Greenie will put on if VT doesn't make it. His excuse that VT's loss at Penn State shouldn't be held against them because IU and Michigan State also lost to them is freaking laughable. IU and Michigan State have won against quality opponents, VT hasn't.
Shoalzie, the main reason I dislike Greenie was how he placed blame on everyone else and not on himself. He treated me and the people I work with at USF like shit and his parting shots at the department on his way out was very uncalled for.
