What does that thread have to do with this one to begin with? And how else have I said my life is tough? Outside of health issues I have pretty damn nice life, IMHO. Hell of a lot better than yours I am sure. I own my own business, my own home on one of the nicest beaches in the world, have season tickets to my alma mater that are nicer than anything you've ever scalped at Misery game, and have put up an offer to buy local bar that's on th market out here.

I thought this was the gambling forum where we discuss gambling. I also thought it might be of some interest to those of us who play poker at more that $10 house tournamnets with our wives, such as yourself, that a poster here might make their way into the WSOP main event. 2.own my own real estate/appraisal company(got the real estate license, have friends who buy property and renovate, was easy money)
3.Lived in Florida in a Condo on Satellite beach very nice area, no tourists, except when ya head into cocoa beach.
4.Played in cash games that you only wish you could play in. Let's also add, that the tourney that got raided , was as expensive as a WSOP buy in. I think Hold'em is boring, and would never waste days to play in a WSOP event. I would rather throw $$ at the sports games and horses. But who gives a fuck, being a 100$ race bettor or a $10 a race bettor impresses me very little. I have pissed away a ton of $ in my younger days on betting horses and sports. Learning experience, so your little $100 buy in games(which virtually everyone has, or more) impress me not!
5. Have played in the local cash game with Nelly,Few of the Casino bosses, and a couple baseball/football/hockey players. Wasn't my cup of tea, boring game, played in shitty area, and it was more of a jabber fest about shit i could care less about. Very slow game, very timid betting, and a snore fest. I like action, Hold'em, it's 2 card guts with a flop,turn,river. Boring game. I'll play a 5-7 stud game any day over lamo Hold'em. Not shocking you play holdem.
6. i sit anywhere i want at Faurot, i don't need to give $1500 for TSF, and then pay for games vs SEMO,Murray st, etc. I can purchase tickets to any game i want to go, and get them anywhere i need. How is sitting at a OU game impressive? Seriously, am i supposed to be awe struck? If you told me you had season tickets to Green Bay, i could understand, but noone, has ever bragged about season tickets to OU, noone, we'll maybe a dipshit like you would.

I guess if i was a loser like you, i would try to brag to others about my life=

1. you own your own house in destin-yipee
2. you own your own company-yipee
3. you can piss away $$$ on WSOP events-yipee

BS, on the appraisel/ brokrage firm. That's a violation of ethics and the USAPAP guide inesin Florida. It's a conflict of interests. You are allowed to hold a license in both but it is against ethics to practice both in the state of Florida. Nice try though.

You got to sit where ever you like at Faurot for so many years because the stadium was half empty until recently. Even in OU's 3-8 season under Blake OU had just about as many fans as MIsery did at Faurot.

I don't consider polaying in WSOP events "pissing away money" and doubt most of the other poker players around here would think so either. I'd like to play in the events if for no other reason than to be able to say I have because that is the pinnacle of tournament poker in today's world. I prefer tournament poker over cash games. It's a different throry and one that I excell at competing in.

I thought about responding about my ex wife but there isn't a way in doing so that would be accurate without mer bad mouthing the mother of my child and a good person. We mutually feel that each other good people with faults and had a relationship that didn't work out.

Easy money, 6 month contract, your paid Union scale, and you can sit on the money you made till another Contract comes(usually within a couple months), while making easy money doing Side work for people.

Easy money, 6 month contract, your paid Union scale, and you can sit on the money you made till another Contract comes(usually within a couple months), while making easy money doing Side work for people.

by the way I read a book the Smart Money...about a betting syndicate called the Brain Trust...pick it up great book...amazing how a computer and some simple stats and turn you into a deece winner in sports betting...

In that case how does locking a thread, that is about a poker game, by one of the few posters who uses the forum and plays poker on a very regular basis going to encourage more "popping in"?

i actually thought it would be funny, then you posted this thread. I didn't lock it to stop the convo, it was to kinda be a dick, and i actually thought it would be funny(maybe i was only one to think it was funny, but still) hit and run.

Everyone at the table agreed that I was the best player left that qualified and I didn't even really get cards that would warrant me placing in 2nd but I played smart right up until being short stacked heads up. Pulled pocket tens and was covered about 6.5 to 1 in chips so I made my move... he had pocket Jacks. Nothing helped on the flop, turn, or river. Such is life. I got a cool little Titanium gold plated chip for winning the state points title (won by about 300 points) despite playing in only about 2/3 the tournies that the others at the table played in in the league.

If I finish in the money in either of the events at the WSOP I may stick around Vegas and play in a couple of satelites for the Main event or even just buy my way in.
