Summary: in one of the city's worst projects, dude is walking around with his hand in his shirt, obviously holding a gun. Cops come up on him, tell him to show his hands. I think the cops were right to shoot him...but with the caveat, when a dog is coming up on you, essentially, the situation has already been established. When the dude doesn't comply by showing his hands, there is no reason that I can think of to deploy the dog, because the dude has already been identified as packing and dangerous. Just pump him full of lead when he doesn't comply, IMO.

Another dog is much cheaper than a wrongful death suit. They forced him to "show his hand" when dude went all in with a K-9 while the po-po had pocket rockets headed his way after a flop of K-A-9, turn of K and an A on the river. Some call that a bad beat. I just call it a lesser hand. Rack the dog for folding.

I'd have to say the cops fucked up by not drawing their pistols fast enough after the dog was deployed. You would think there would be an officer standing there with their gun drawn on the guy once the dog was released. Once the guy made a move, then shoot his ass. Slow response time by the police if you ask me.
