Sorry, dog

Post by PSUFAN »

http://kdka.com/local/man.dog.shooting.2.717471.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Summary: in one of the city's worst projects, dude is walking around with his hand in his shirt, obviously holding a gun. Cops come up on him, tell him to show his hands. He does not comply, and the cops "deploy" a K-9, which is then shot to death by the dude. The cops then shot the dude full of holes.

I think the cops were right to shoot him...but with the caveat, when a dog is coming up on you, essentially, the situation has already been established. When the dude doesn't comply by showing his hands, there is no reason that I can think of to deploy the dog, because the dude has already been identified as packing and dangerous. Just pump him full of lead when he doesn't comply, IMO.

Another dog is much cheaper than a wrongful death suit. They forced him to "show his hand" when dude went all in with a K-9 while the po-po had pocket rockets headed his way after a flop of K-A-9, turn of K and an A on the river. Some call that a bad beat. I just call it a lesser hand. Rack the dog for folding.

I'd have to say the cops fucked up by not drawing their pistols fast enough after the dog was deployed. You would think there would be an officer standing there with their gun drawn on the guy once the dog was released. Once the guy made a move, then shoot his ass. Slow response time by the police if you ask me.

It's probably harder to press a "why was my precious baby packing a roscoe" lawsuit against the city than it is a "why did you kill mybaby" lawsuit

... although in Denver a few years back, the family of a "special needs" jigaboo picked up a cool tax-free million bucks when, after calling 911 because their precious little retard was chasing them with a knife, and the cop who responded to the call drilled the knife-wielding little bastard when he charged the cop. Oh, and cop got fired too.

The cops obviously planted a "drop piece" on him after they fucked up an attempted arrest.

Wake up, dummies. This goes on all the time.

mvscal wrote:So the cops shot the dog with the drop piece in order to frame the poor, innocent neegroid who was just minding his own business collecting cans to pay for an operation for his sick mother? Is that how it went down?
The cops let the dog lose on the poor kid, the kid freaked and they blasted him. The dog caught some.
"Dirty" cop pulls a drop piece out of a ziplock bag, puts it in the dying kid's hand.
Dog gets a medal, kid gets a pine box. Mom gets a carton of Kools. Maybe.
End of story.
