We're no different when we're consumers of a service and I suspect anyone in here who is in management has been in a similiar situation of having to get rid of employees that aren't delivering.

Which is exactly what voters will be doing this fall when McCain's attempt to serve out Bush's 3rd term fail.

McCain will thump Obama in November. I'm talking landslide. Hillary would lose, but at least keep the race respectable.

Obama - McCain is the best possible matchup the Democrats could have gotten. Hillary, by contrast, would have been Democratic Death Wish # 8,902,647.

McCain's weakness is that the Republican base doesn't like him. Between that and their demoralization over the Bush Presidency, they're likely to stay home in November. The one thing that could have changed that would have been Hillary as the Democratic nominee. The mere name of Clinton is, to these people, the equivalent of waving a red cape in front of a bull. They would have shown up just to vote against her. Now they've been deprived of that. No chance in hell of getting them to the booth in November, and McCain loses as a result.

Come November, you'll see states in the Democratic column which probably haven't been there since FDR was President.

I think you've hit the nail on the head Terry. The democrats will sell McCain down the river in the next few months as well. When he's running against a Republican he's their favorite but, quite rightly, now he's a turd.

I personally don't get it. I liked him against Bush in 2000 and I like him now. Character? This man's character is impeccable in my opinion. Leadership anmd sacrifice aren't just words to him, he's lived them. Compared to Obama he's a Giant in these categories.

His biggest problems are his lack of support in the conservative sector, his age and the fact he represents "old school" bullshit, dried up and ready to blow away. Obama's bullshit is nice and new, steam still rises from it.

Afterall, I'm one of those people who hated Clinton from day one. But right now I have way more respect and admiration for Hillary (which isn't saying much) than I do Obama. I don't trust him, not one bit. I think he's a weasel of the highest order. Better to have the devil you know in Shillary... not that it matters. I stand by my assertion that McCain will thump either one. Conseravatives will show up in just as much force to vote against Obama as well.
