Great work, McFlame!

I was always of the understanding that an endorsement meant that someone was endorsing a candidate, not a candidate endorsing an endorser.
My very bad.
Well, McFlame has fugged this whole Hagee thing up SO atrociously.
For starters, he should have never appeared publicly with Hagee to begin with.
It's not some hidden secret that Hagee is a loose canon and that he often says things that can be offensive to groups of people.
Just 'quietly' say, "Oh, ok, you endorse me ... well thank you very much."
Pretty much THE END.
But once he did appear with fat toad Hagee there was no way to go back on the endorsement without looking like a dumbfuck.
And yes, McLame looks like a grade-A dumbfuck here.
Fact o' the matter also is that a lot of the evangelical crowd laps up Hagee's words and agrees with him on most matters.
John boy's dumping of Hagee does nothing to endear him to a group of people (a significant amount of the rep. base) who already hold him in a bit of contempt.
2008 is officially a cripple fight.

Re: Great work, McFlame!
So both candidates have endorsements from endorsers that are "insensitive" to Jews.
Pop,

Does this mean Hagee has been run?

The definitive reaction to all this:

McCain should have discovered Hagee was nuts before soliciting his endorsement.

I ever meet Mr. Hagee I'll punch that bastard in his fat nose.
SOB actually had a sermon about Godless restaurant employees not attending church services about 6 or 7 years ago that was directed at my ex wife because she wouldn't seat his fat ass immediatly when he walked in the door, in front of the dozen other families that had been there for half an hour or longer waiting on a table. His Church members then started going to the restaurant to harass heron Sunday afternoons. Cost her her job.

I can't think of a lawyer that wouldn't take that case. Sounds like you/she blew it.SunCoastSooner wrote:I ever meet Mr. Hagee I'll punch that bastard in his fat nose.

It was before we ever even dated. We barely even knew each other at that point. Heck it was even longer than 6 or 7 years ago now that I think about it... more like 11 or 12. She was in high school and starting litigation against "God's messenger" would not have been a good idea in San Antonio for a girl who about a 1/4 of her school went to his church.OCmike wrote:I can't think of a lawyer that wouldn't take that case. Is that the girl that left you, SCS? So you're not racking this dude at this point?

No... are there things that still piss me off about the way it was done? Certainly. But I'm not bitter anymore at her. She's the mother of my child and she has her faults but in the end we all deserve the pursuit of happiness. She wasn't happy. I wish she would have given some warning and tried to at least work on things but such is life. I have a good life and if I can come to trust another woman I have the oppertunity to find the same sort of happiness or something comparable to it in the future.PSUFAN wrote:Is that the girl that left you, SCS? I think I have it better off than she does at any rate. I'm successful in my work, have a lot of friends, and a much better social life than while I was married. So it hasn't been the end of the world; just different.
She lost most of her/our friends afterwards and I had a much better core of support.
In the end staying bitter about it all would only affect my daughter more than anyone. Kids know that sort of stuff, you can't hide it. I know I did growing up and she's the most important thing on this earth to me.

Still, there must be a small place inside you that has a little evil grin looking at how things are now and thinking back on her abandoning you when you were heading down dirt nap road. Certainly would be for me.

A small part but I married her for a reason. Things just didn't work out is all. Can't change that. Moving past it is better for me. Being a bitter asshole only works so long...Mister Bushice wrote:Still, there must be a small place inside you that has a little evil grin looking at how things are now and thinking back on her abandoning you when you were heading down dirt nap road.
