Just and unfuckingbelieveable flick. Plan to put aside nearly 4 hours for this Gone With the Windesque film, but its well worth it.
Very accurate of the German crews and the u-boats they used. Fucking incredible.

One of my absolute all time favorite war movies and by far the best submarine movie ever made.
For anyone that hasn't seen it or has only seen the cut-up theatrical release, make sure to get either the Director's Cut (which is about 3:45 long) or the Original Uncut Version (nearly 5:00 long) - and make sure you watch it with its original German dialogue and English subtitles. Watching the English dub is just painful.
