Any comrades on here have any experience with these? Are they worth bothering with, or is it more expedient to buy the hardware/software and do it manually? I've read the pros and cons, just wondering if anyone has actually bought one and had practical experience.
Cheers!

I did a lot of research on turntables. This one sold for 229 dollars at bestbuy.com, but I found a merchant that had a special on one for 85 dollars. It has a USB port, but I don't use it. Instead, I use the RCA cables into the input slot of my sound card. The reason I don't use the USB is that it's way too quiet. I couldn't get it any louder even with everything turned up.
The reviews I read on this one were all positive. While it's not a direct drive, but a belt drive, it still does the job. The cartridge is very nice. The only downside is that because the stylus is so light (to avoid wear it says), I'll sometimes come back and the record will be skipping somewhere near the end of a side. I'll tape a penny to the cartridge and this solves the problem.
The program they include is actually pretty good, but it isn't perfect. I'd rather use Audacity to filter out the noise, but that's another story.
Here are some examples of my transferred music.

It's not adjustable-weight like old school turntables were?
I got 99 problems but the 'vid ain't one
Re: Vinyl to CD/ MP3 recordable turntables
No, it doesn't have a weight adjustable arm.
